I think most children who have unusual names and even some with common names get picked on. It's amazing how creative children can be when picking on another child about his/her name.

Magnus would get picked on for instance i could see kids chanting on the play groud "Magnus the fattest" even if he is not a larger child, people will still say it. My goddaughter's name is Bridget and the call her bridget the midget and she is almost 5'8. I'd say go with Magnus Aiden and have him go by Aiden so that way he won't get picked on to badly (hey, all kids get picked on one time or another, just this reduces it) and his name is still Magnus and to your liking.
By the way a little boy might like that his name (Aiden) means fire :)
Best of luck!!!

p.s. let me know what you chose~

Maybe not because I can't think of anything it rhymes with. More people are choosing unique names now, so I'm sure there are many other children that would lead the list of being picked on before this one.

I think no matter what name you give a child they will most likely be picked on sometime in their life. Just be sure to be supportive & pick the name you think fits best!

Yes, i knew a Magnus. If you met a Magnus, he would rather you chose a different name also. What about John Magnus, or something else with Magnus as a middle name - (your kid would probably hate it anyway). John Rylan is a good name, its strong, and Rylan is different. Rylan should not be a first name though, it is not strong enough.

He probably will. I know a lot of people want very unique names for their children but these kids won't be too happy with their parents when they're old enough to tell them about it. Sorry, but you asked.

Maybe change it to Aiden Magnus? That way, if he likes Magnus, he can use it...but he has a more "normal" name so he won't get picked on.
