This will of course vary according to how many ejaculations he has....the only safe way to know if he is sperm-free is by being tested by the clinic that performed the vasectomy....don't take any chance; keep taking the pill or use safe contraceptive until you have the clear result from the clinic. Keep doing what you do best and he will soon be clear of sperm.....enjoy life.

I had a sample tested at 6 months, and it was clean. I know of guys that said that theirs was not clean yet.
Normal procedure is get two clean samples. When varies from doctor to doctor. Some even go back and get re-checked every year, but I think that is overkill.
I just played it safe and continued to use condoms for almost a year.

It is normal to ask for 2 samples one after a month, this may well already show no sperm, however for belt and braces reasons a second sample is usually checked a month after that.

Right away. The tube that carries the sperm from the testes has been cut and burned. There's no way for any to get through. He should have gone back to the doctor with a semen sample to be tested to be sure but there are very rarely problems in that area. Most doctors allow you to bring in a sample as often as you like to be tested but most men don't bother with it after the first time or two.

Generally between 1-2 months. The reservoir has to be emptied.therefore the more sex you have the quicker the emptying. It is essential to use other contraception until the sperm test is negative

It usually takes 1-2 months, but you have to go have him
checked to be sure. When my hubby had his, the Dr.
told him that first month is when most of the wives get
pregnant, because the guy thought it was ok but it wasn't.
Do the test to be sure! Otherwise he had it done for nothing.
