You my friend are right. Once again - ESPN has a nickname stick around when not applicable. "King Felix"??? King of what - average pitching?
He pitches on great game, now we are supposed to believe he is the second coming of Cy Young.
I am not buying it. Blame ESPN for that one.

DUDE YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT

yes he was "good" when he came in...

most pitchers have an advantage their first year thru because the hitters are facing them for the first time...why do you think hitters have like .300 or .333 average...means 30% go on hits for at bats which means 70% get outs...well average is kidna misleading since you gotta count On base percentage but still its not like everyone has an On base percentage of like .454 or .500 or whatever...its between .380-- .420 which measn most of the time the PITCHER GETS THEM OUT

Iono why felix was so hyped but dude is just not a good pitcher at all...he had reasonable success juss like any other pitcher their first time thru the major leagues

yea he had a 1 hitter against the red sox so what...im pretty sure manny or ortiz were outta the lineup

dude has done jack squat the last couple of years and has done really bad against quality opponents like the yanks or red sox or angels (ive seen him pitch against the angels in person...he was horrible)

FELIX HERNANDEZ = OVERRATED MOFO

The problem is a young pitcher or young hitter start off really well and they start comparing them to hall of famers. You could not tell by a couple of good games you could only make those comparison when they proven themselves for a few seasons.

Well you have to consider the fact that he is only 21, and his stuff and makeup is amazing for someone his age. At the rate he is going you would have to assume he is going to completely dominate in a few years.

But atm, he probably is a bit overrated.

He is a better young pitcher than what we are seeing now. I really believe he is still having some health issues that he is trying to work through. It is really difficult to tell how good some of these young pitchers are going to be, you need to look no further than Mark Prior.

I would say so too because he's not even starting that often now and he's also suffering some losses and he's not te pitcher he used to be. I totally agree 100% with you.

yes. Last year he was 12 - 14. If this guy was that good, he'd be dominant, or at least close every game.
