I am going on a vacation and both of these are with in easy driving distance. We are going to one or the other. I have looked online but was curious as to if anyone out there had been to both and which they liked better. Or just your general experience at one or the other.

We are going during the week, will lines be better at one than the other?

We have no kids, just two adults, so which is better for adults?

Thanks in advance!!!

I have been going to Kings Dominion since I was little. They have some great rides, a few of my favorites are:
1. White Water Canyon, a big round boat ride that is not that scary, but gets you wet and lasts longer than some of the newer rides
2. Shockwave, a stand-up roller coaster that goes upside-down
3. Richochet, this is probably my favorite of all. It is a short-car roller coaster, only 2 people in each car, so when it whips around the corners of the tracks you feel like you're going to fall off---so much fun!
4. There is also a great water park at Kings Dominion with this awesome very steep black tube water slide, so you feel like you're falling in pitch-black darkness and then you hit the water.
Also, since it has been around for a while, Kings Dominion has some old roller coasters like the Grizzly, which you can ride either forward or backward. I've never been to Hershey Park, but I have never had a disappointing experience at Kings Dominion. My uncle wins at the games there all the time, so I think they may be a little less rigged than carnival games. For food, my Uncle would definitely recommend Country Kitchen, a barbeque place in the park, and on the way there, stop at Aunt Sarah's Pancake House and get the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Have fun!

I think you'll have a better experience at Kings Dominion. It is operated by Cedar Fair, one of the best operators of amusement parks in the country (their flagship attraction is Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio, but they also run Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California, Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, and Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America in Minneapolis). They run a good park.

That being said, Hershey Park is also the only place where you can experience "Hershey's Chocolate World" and get an idea of how some of your favorite candies are made.

well hershey park is a really fun park. even though u guys are adults, i htink you would have a lot of fun there especially if you like water parks. they just opened a new water park and its is joined with the rest of the park. there are a lot of slids (like toilet bowl slides) that you can ride and even the adults i went with loved them. (and there are 2 person raft things) also, the actual park has really GREAT rollercoasters. there r some pretty insain ones there. also, you can go to hersheys chocolate world and take the tour...and buy chocolate. HERSHEY PARK ALL THE WAY.
