How firm is your handshake and how long do you hold it?

I truly loathe the people who think the firmness of a handshake defines character. When people pull that strong handshake garbage I lower my opinion of them.

Very firm, enough to surprise people with how strong I am. No limp dead handshake for me. I hold for like 1 to 2 seconds.

Firm handshake. It depends on the moment how long you hold it. It also depends if the other person lets go or not.

i get compliments all the time on my handshake. firm, and 3 to 4 seconds ,maybe one smallish pump. i'm a woman and i hate the "limp fish " thing so many women do. either shake or don't is my motto.

It depends on the person I'm giving it to. Say an old lady i'm meeting for the first time, I don't want to cripple her with a bear grip, but if it's a younger person i might try my hand at a bit of a strength contest (usually ending in my embarassment tho, lol)

As for time anywhere below awkwardness is acceptable, like 2-5 seconds.

Medium-firm, and usually about two to three seconds. I take the two to three seconds to make eye contact and memorize facial features, while the person is telling me their name.
