Hi can anybody give me any advice. My boyfriend received 3 texts messages today and a balance update. The 3 text messages took £15 of his credit. The thing is, he hasn't subscribed to anything and is really upset by this. Does anybody know if/how he can stop the text messages and if/how he can claim his money back as he cannot afford for this to happen. Thanks, any advice appreciated.

Contact the cell phone provider his phone is connected to and good luck.

We were surprised with similar charges considering that we didn't subscribe to text messages nor was it included in our plan. I called Verizon and was informed that the company could text info and ads to us without us being signed up with a $10 charge per text. I also found out I could ask them to block future texts. They did, problem solved.

Call the phone company and expain to them what happened. Most the time they are understand and will either credit and repair so it does not happen again or at least put a spma block on test messages.
