No offense to anyone, and in my opinion Iike one as a player more than the other, but Schilling seems like a whiny, silly little kid. Bonds at least acts like the a baseball player should just shaking his head and telling everyone they are wrong. So here's the question: Which players attitude about steroids does the most harm to baseball: Schilling's snitching or Bonds' beligerence?

Just for the record, I think Bonds steroid use is bad for the game and don't like the guy at all, but in terms of attitude towards steroids, think there is something admirable there.

I can't stand Schilling!!! Even Red Sox nation admits that he's a big blow hard who should just keep his mouth shut and play the game. All that said... Bonds is worse hands down. There is not a single redeeming factor to that man.

I think Schilling was just mad that he isnt going to pitch along with Roger Clemens and let his frustration out on someone else. No, im just kidding but i think he has no need to put his nose in this. Does he know Barry Bonds? Are they personal friends? Have they ever even been teammates? Answer to all of them is no. Everyone has ripped on Bonds about steroids and i believe he has used them but we all need to get over that fact now because he is going to break the home run record and faster you stop the whinning the easier it will be to accept. I think Schilling may even stir something up in his own clubhouse after Ortiz made the comments he supports Bonds and said he may have unknowlingy taken something sometime so why doesnt Schilling rip into him? Schilling is just trying to get fans because he is one of the least liked athletes in the US.

In spite of the fact that Bonds is about to break Aaron's record, images of Bonds make people think about steroid usage, not the glory of the game. When people think of Schilling, they think of him pitching in the World Series with his sock soaked with blood - a warrior. Regardless of words, it is actions that will be remembered. Bonds comes across like an aloof racist - yes, I said racist because reverse racism certainly does exist in America and it is butt ugly. People will always question Bonds' "home run king" status. No one questioned it with Ruth or with Aaron, same as no one will ever question Schilling's pitching number/stats. Finally, since when is exercising your constitutional right to freedom of speech bad? Bonds is accused of illegal acts, Schilling is exercising his constitutional right to free speech, no matter how annoying or whiny some people think he is. You might think I am whiny - guess what? too bad! it is my fundamental right as an American - a right we have fought for. Isn't this why we say we are in Iraq? Fighting for fundamental freedoms? That's all cock and bull but that is what we say so if Schilling annoys anyone, turn off the iPod or the TV and stroll on.

The game itself is bigger than any player and you are always going to have some players that say or do things detrimental to the game. But these issues come and go without any lasting affect on the game itself. So, I would put both Bonds and Schilling in the exact same category as having no affect on the great game of baseball.

Bonds isn't doing anything positive for "the game." Baseball's image has been degraded due to the Bonds scandal. His pursuit of the home run record is reduced to irrelevance and, aside from hard-core baseball enthusiasts, has found little interest or importance among the general public.

Schilling. He is a whiner. I live in New England and watch most Sox games (not a fan - I like Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo). He is one of the most annoying players I have ever seen.
