I know how you feel, and I am SO sorry this happened to you, you felt totally deserted, abandoned by the system, and not knowing what was wrong with you on top of it all, probably terrified that there would never be an end to the pain and illness. You were being threatened physically and emotionally.
I dont believe that which doesnt kill us just makes us stronger, its a nice cliche, but it can chip away at our whole centre of trust and security and alter our perspective of ourselves and the world we live in. It can rock our very existence.
You can choose to identify with that new weakened person, filled with fear or you can move on from here.
You made it through this, which proves you are a very strong lady.
The illness and fear you went through has left wounds that are going to take time to heal as well, its like any other trauma in life. But you will heal.
Have you tried using positive affirmation to build up your confidence and trust ? Stand in front of the mirror and say to yourself "I am strong, I am a survivor, I faced the lowest, worst point in my life and I beat it. I am here, I am alive. I am moving forward "
Even if it did happen again you know what your problem is now, you wont be facing all that uncertainty again.
You will get the treatment you need and this time you know what to expect - and how to handle it. That "not knowing" emotional trauma is gone from your life - forever.
That was the lowest point of your life, you wont ever have to go there again. Close the door on that and know that being diagnosed has empowered you in so many ways.
Stay strong ! Believe in yourself and find your strength again.

I know this is may sound cliche, but is so true. What does not kill you, will only make you stronger. To me, you sound like a fighter because you endured so much whilst being sick. I think you are strong and a fighter, so keep on, keeping on~
I don't know you religious affiliation, but I am a firm believer in people who carry a load(sickness or whatever else) are the strongest of God's children. I wish you good health, strength, and happiness. Take Good Care~

i go through this every day- i have lyme disease and i'm sick and in pain every day. some days are a little better than others, some days i hurt so bad or i'm so exhausted i just want to crawl into a corner and cry.... but i know that won;t make things better. the only advice i can offer is to keep close tabs on how you feel and do just what you feel up to whenever possible. i have a physically demanding job and i'm the only person in my department, so i can't ease off but i have learned ways of doing things that are easier on me physically.
my thoughts are with you and i hope you stay well!

I'm sorry to hear what has happened to you, can you try to get disability?? I had to do this due to my back, it took me three years fighting in court with my case, I won with help from a lawyer. It's not easy to go through life feeling like crap taking drugs to dull the pain, working, and I was raising a family also, I had no help from the husband, that's another story. What can I tell you, except, never give up, I'll be happy to talk to you.
I wish you the best.

It is actually good to fear.Fear keeps us from situations, or things that seems may hurt us in some way.it's self preservation in it's purest form.
Knowing what you went through, how hard it was, and how much heart it took to maintain some sense of normalcy in your life through this disease, gave you strength to endure, motivated you to keep going, accomplishment that you did, and bravery,to face life in all it's waves and forms.
Friend, i believe you can do , be , and face anything. you'll be Great!
Be Blessed and Take Care

I have worked for months under ill status and if the body can tolerate, then what can one say. Your body will let you know when it ceases to do anything more.
