I mean hey, just throwing it out there. Most scientists are men. Every country and tribe pretty much has been run by dudes. Lord knows no women is getting anywhere in MMA.

swimmers - men
runners- men
philosophers - men
prophets - men
dancers/concubines/mothers/seductresses - .. ok I'll give that one to you.

So when did men and women become equal?

BTW the fencing add in was because when I've posed this question in public, women argue that women are more agile. if so, whats with the guys ruling olympic fencing?

I checked, and most wars were started by men, fought by men and won by men. What they were started over is either irrelevant or over somthing inanimate, like an idea, a building, or land. I could throw women into that group of objects if you like, but I don't think that serves your purpose.

Women have always been inferior (ish, in theroy) to men. Thats why even the smallest tribe in the most backwater part of the world was ruled by a guy. The great Pyramids were built by blacks. many wars were fought by blacks with alot of black leaders. (all men btw) Blacks had a deeper culture of slavery though and thats why black slaves were thought to be inferior. Myan and South Americans refused to be slaves.. to the point of death. Which is why blacks were shipped half way across the world to be slaves in the first place.

Your links to women rulers showed me, I think all of 1 Women ruler that wasn't placed in her position by a man, and only held the position because of bloodline. Which I don't think helps your case. Even if all the women in your list fought and won their postition completely on their own steam. They'd account for less than 1% of male counterparts throughout history.

This question has been asked about a zillion different times in different ways. And for some reason I doubt the female population who answer this will even considered for "best".

First point - like you guys would let us run anything. You sum as up as weak, hormonal or whatnot - so you would probably saw off a peanut before a woman would be able to be in control of well, ANYTHING!

Second - throughout history, due to the suppression of women and you guys making sure we HAVE no voice, you wouldn't really know if there were better women swimmers, runners, philosophers, prophets, scientists, etc.

And would you want to hear it anyway? I mean, since apparently to you with johnsons think we are so inferior, why would you listen to what the Prophet Mellie has to say? You'd think I was a crackpot!

So you know - you won't make us equal cause you make sure it's not allowed. But us gals are workin' on it. And reading post after post like this reminds me of how we have apparently a LONG way to go.

The reason for that is because before the idea was that men were better then women and women had no rights. So even today in the U.S. there has not been a women President because just recently (seems like a long time ago but for a country to accept it isn't) women gained rights. And now we are witnessing women coming to power and taking men's jobs. We have a women running for President. India just elected a female President.

Your question is like: If blacks and whites are equal, then why are most leaders whites. The reason is because blacks were always thought inferior. But they have gained rights and now we have a black running for President.

In the future, women and men will work side-by-side all the time.

considering back in the day! women where not allowed to do the same stuff as men. i.e. vote, work in contruction, couldn't further their education, ,,,you get the point! your a man right! good!

I don't know many swimmers or runners what i do know is it's more for fun not so much a job. as a female my self i don't find it appealing at all! i wouldn't do so there for i will leave it for then man to do cuz it boars me!

Most men are physically stronger and bigger than women. That's a fact. so most things that require greater physical strength or endurance are done by men.
But I know a man who employs only women in his nursery because women are better at planting seed than men. Is that a great statistic - no.
My son is planning on training his little sister to be an electrician so she can fit into the smaller spaces he can't get into.
There are many things women can do, but perhaps they're just not so glorious. Or time wasting.

Most philosphers are men? Well, most women would say, like fishing, that's just a man's excuse not to do the housework.
Chess players - hey, steady on! I'm the greatest chess player I know. Can beat my husband, anyway.

I have the same question!
But some women does do stuff that men does, they're just not famous enough. And I do agree that men seem more athletic but women can be too, it is just that most women preferred a light, and gentle job or being a housewife so that what makes them not very famous on extreme jobs.
And males like to do extremely dangerous or daring jobs, so that's what makes it so interesting cause you would rather watch sports and racing than cooking right? At least most people does.
And for your information, women being concubines only happen about like 200 years before in Chinese dynasties, so therefore that don't count.

I would change all of your "best" statements to "some" men. You can't beat every man nor can every man beat you. I also cite the most famous gender contest Billy Jean King against that Bobby guy.
