I am so TIRED... i excercise in the morning and have no trouble falling asleep.. it's staying aslep. i'm getting up every hour to pee, and then am up from aboput 3 a.m.-5:00.. then have todller to take care of all day. I am also drinking lots of h20 ( 32 oz or more) but cut myself off at 7:00. Also i only have one cup of coffee a day in the morning. I take a very very, short "nap" about 20 minutes to refresh. i've also been having episodes of contractions 10 minutes apart for 2-3 hours but then they go away.(for about 2 weeks now)

Your contractions that you're getting would be Braxton Hicks. Try not to drink so much water, I don't know about you but that goes straight through me even now I'm not pregnant. I know how tiring it is but you haven't got long to go now. Stay in there. Maybe it depends on what you're doing before going to bed, maybe you're doing too much.

your almost there hang in there..
i'am a mother of now 4 (11 weeks ago)
i had the same problem when i was in my 7th,8th and 9th month,, i never really got much sleep during the last 3 months and had 3 other kids to take care of and babysit others as well. i tried everything but nothing work,, i would think about the baby all the time, pee all the time, backache, headache,
the only thing that help me was to walk on the tridmill for 1 mile and then take a warm shower that seemed to help me.
but only for a bit ha ha it was like that until the day of the c section then there was no no no sleep due to breatfeeding.
he is now 11 weeks old and i love in minute..
all i can say is hang in there and try to do other stuff before bed but don't overdue it.. good luck,, \
the contractions are normal your body is getting ready..
but if they get to be more together and stay or if your water breaks you will know to go to the e.r. and have a baby

I know exactly how you feel!! I have four children ages 5, 4, 2, and 3 months now and with the last pregnancy I was up 3 times to pee each night and in so much reflux and back pain I did not sleep at all for the last 3 months before my son was born. I actually got so much more sleep after home from the hospital when he was only days old then I did when pregnant and he was up every 3 hours to eat! I also had contractions for the last 6 weeks of the pregnancy which I never had with my other pregnancies. THe only advice I have is to take a warm (NOT HOT) bath for about 15 mins before bed-I know it is hard to get in/out of tub but that helped me to relax some. Also having a fan in the room for white noise helped me also. You will feel so much better once the baby is born-hang in there-only a few more weeks!!

Deja Vu. With my first I didn't sleep but 2 hours at a time that last month, then the three days before she was born, I was having contractions that woke me up every dang twenty minutes.

My advice - when you are in the hospital in labor, get an epidural and sleep through as much of the labor as you can. Because you are going to be running a marathon every day after that.

Your water intake sounds FINE, don't cut back - the baby needs it as much as you do. You aren't peeing every five minutes because you drink too much water, it's because the baby has squished your bladder to the size of a walnut.

Yeah, I've been there. It seems like your body may be preparing you for the sleepless nights coming up. It seems like you're doing everything you're supposed to. Keep drinking lots of water even though going to the bathroom is a nuisance. It 'll also help with breastfeeding. Your contractions are probably braxton hicks. They 're getting you ready for labour. Try to relax and not stress out about it.
Don't drink too late at night, and don't exercise before bed, cause that 'll make you hyper. Try to do some breathing exercises in bed. Take deep breaths through your nose, and every time you exhale imagine your body sinking into the bed.

I wish I had more to tell you but I went through the exact same thing and not much seems to help.

You are not alone! Your problem can be very common. Here are some tips I found helpful...

Here are some tips to help you get some rest before the baby is born and the real sleepless nights begin:

Take a warm bath or shower at bedtime to start relaxing.

Before retiring for the night, try some relaxation exercises you may have learned in childbirth class. Ask your partner for a massage.

Limit the naps you take during the day.

Get plenty of exercise. A body that gets worked out during the day will be more tired at night. Don't exercise too close to bedtime because your may be too geared up to sleep when it is time.

Clear your mind. Talk with your partner about your worries early in the evening. Try not to focus on your anxieties at night.

If you are waking up many times during the night to urinate, limit your fluid intake after 4 p.m.
Avoid caffeine in the late afternoon and evening time.

Make sure your bedroom is a comfortable temperature. Sleep with the window open or a fan blowing on you if you need to. (Your partner may need a big blanket to keep him warm.) If your room is too cool, you may need to pile on more blankets.

Find a few comfortable positions for sleep. Sleep on your side with your legs up close to your chest with a pillow between your legs. Support your abdomen and back with other pillows.
Don't worry about it

If you wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep, get up and do something quiet. Watch television, read, or do needlework until you are feeling drowsy again. Do your best to try to get to sleep, but don't bring more anxiety upon yourself because you are having insomnia. Resting can be almost as good for you as sleeping. Although it can be frustrating and exhausting, loss of sleep does not do damage to you or to the baby.

LOL... sorry to laugh, but in about oh say 18 years you'll be able to sleep a little more soundly! You just have a bun that is almost fully cooked and sitting on your bladder. And I'm guessing that 3-5 am is because "nesting" is kicking in.... it's so exhausting the last few weeks but well worth it. And about your braxton hicks, they are perfectly normal too.

My second son was 13lbs 23 in at birth, so you can just imagine how little sleep I got. I can honestly say I got most of my sleep while on the toilet. My husband had to literally wake me up to get me off the toilet on several occassions!

Funny how one pregnancy can be soooo different from the next huh?

Its very important you have your doctor check your sugar and see if that could be the problem.

When i was at 35 week i started having problems with my sugar. It made me tired i couldn't concentrate and what helped is cut out all sugar and put my feet up when i sleep. also i had my foot messaged before i went to bed. I hop this helps.

U should get more rest now. Try to get someone to look after your toddler for a while. If not u might get an early delivery. It tough looking after a toddler while another one is on the way. I look after my 1st one till i was 2 months before delivery. I get help from a maid to look after my son and do housework for me.
