I am just a teen and i got into drawing anime. I love the way it looks but don't have acsess to expensive tools. Now i am having trouble shading. I don't know whether to use pastels, crayons, colored pencils, i can't use the computer so what do i use!!! plz help

You can shade with just a number 2 pencil. You should practice shade variations on a blank page. Another exercise to improve your shading ability is to draw a crumpled up sheet of paper. Its perfect for tuning up your shading skills.

Go to "Roberts" arts & crafts store-they sell "blending sticks" for fine shading in skinny & fat sticks that are made of paper. then buy some art pencils, the softest ones are the best, you can use napkins & your figer to shade too-good luck.

I was told by my art teacher to improve your shading you should find a ball and draw it and make it look like a sphere.
