Your problem is more than likely caused by the fuel you are using in the car if the following scenario describes what you experience:
The condition occurs as you say after driving for 1 hour then you shut the car off and go into a convenience store and come back out after 10-15 minutes and try to restart the car it will crank over like its going to start but doesn't. If you shut it off after driving the one hour and come back after 5 minutes it will restart with no problem. If you shut it off after driving the one hour and come back after 25 minutes it will start with no problem.
If the above is the condition you are experiencing, then the problem is that the fuel you are using is evaporating in the fuel injection lines in the engine compartment. It takes about 7-10 minutes after shutting the car off for the heat of the engine to turn the alcohol derivities in the fuel to vapor. When that happens and you try to start the car you are essentially injecting air into the engine and there is not enough fuel to start the car. After about 25 minutes the engine and fuel lines cool down and the fuel condenses back into a liquid and then you can inject more fuel into the engine to start the car. That's why the time frame is critical on this condition--under 5 minutes or over 25 minutes you have liquid gasoline in the fuel lines; from about 10 minutes to 20 minutes you have vapor lock.

If this is your condition, simply changing the brand of gas will usually cure the problem. Different refineries use different additivies and blends and simply changing to another brand will change the fuel charactoristics. Don't change to a higher octane as that will typically aggrevate the condition.

if the above is not what you are experiencing then maybe give us more information on the time between when you shut it off and go to restart it, how long its parked for and if its parked in the sun or shade and most importantly, what the outside temperature is and what the engine temperature is.

hope that helps

It is the Ignition Crontrol Module, This is a common problem with hondas. sometimes the car will start fine and sometimes the car just won't start. The Module is a silver box located above the steering column, behind the dash. It costs 55 dollars and only takes about 10 minutes to change.

Let the repair shop drive it for an extended period of time to duplicate your concern. Probably the dealer is the best bet. They have the proper tools to diagnose the problem quicker.

Sounds like the alternator is to hot.

Is the heat shield still on there.
