That was the reason I got fired from my last job. The owner (my sister in law) said she "wanted no part of me having an affair"...
I tried to explain to her that I was in no way flirting... I am just naturally easy going, nice... and I smile...
I guess people like you and me are rare... I guess people are suppose to frown and look constipated, unless they are flirting and trying to get some...

I think it's natural to be attracted to a person who smiles and is kind. If the recipient of that takes it as a come on than they must not receive very much kindness in their lives. So with that in mind, just keep on smiling.

No when I'm flirting you know, when I'm just smiling you can tell its with no strings attached. Flirting would have to be more then a smile, maybe a wink accompanying it, or some subtle touching or the body language too

Yes, and that's really sad.
I want to smile and make friends, but they mistake it for something more than that. Now i don't smile at strangers anymore unless there's something to smile about. Someone stalked me, it started simply with a smile, and i don't want that to ever happen again.

Yes! I am always smiling and people think I am flirting with them. I'm a nice person and I try and make a serious face but it always doesn't work.

Yes it does. Gets me into trouble sometimes, but a smile works alot better on any occasion than a solemn face.

Yes, we were at my husband's friends house and the friend had a guy there visiting. I was being nice and trying to make him part of our conversation. He winked at me when my husband wasn't looking. In my head I thought, "did he just do that", I didn't miss a beat I just kept talking to him like I didn't acknowledge what he did. Then a few minutes after he starts wiping his eye like there was some thing in it.

Yes! I always try to smile and be polite when I cross paths with people. I say hello and they take it as an invitation to ask me out or something. Geez!
