I'm day 13 post ovulation. I just took my second early response test. Yesterdays was negative. This morning there is a faint but definitive pink line with a dark line. According to the test that means pregnant but we have been trying to conceive #1 for a while so I don't believe it! If it was negative yesterday and positive day should I take another before I get get excited?? I'm shaking!

Two lines, no matter how faint, is a positive result! You can get a false negative (meaning the test is negative but you are indeed pregnant), but it is very, VERY rare to get a false positive (meaning the test is positive but you are not pregnant).

Your HCG levels rise constantly in early pregnancy, doubling approximately every two days. Your levels probably were not high enough to register yesterday, but were today. If you read the directions, you will see that each day closer to the day of your expected period, the higher the percentage of you getting a positive result (if you are pregnant).

I understand your hesitation, however. I got a positive in January, after nearly five years of TTC our third child. I could not believe it even though I KNEW. It took over three dozen tests (at home, the doctor's office, and the lab for multiple blood tests) to convince me. I am now 31+ weeks along!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Usually, A negative can mean a positive but a positive can not mean a negative. So take another test just to make sure! But there is a big possibility! Good Luck. Let me know how it turns out.

Id wait to take another one. I have been TTC #1 for the last 15months and 2months ago I too got a faint line. I was happy called my family then AF showed up two days after that. I was 4days late. I hope you are but dont get to excited. Anything can happen. Its best to wait till you are late cause only then will you really know.

Same thing happened to me! I took a test Monday and yesterday (14 and 16 dpo) and they were both negative. I took one today (actually 2 because I couldn't believe my eyes!) and they were both positive, faint positive on one, darker on 2nd one. Going for a blood test this morning. I think it means your pregnant!!

Congratulations!!!!

If you used the first a.m. urine that could be why you got 2 different results. a.m. urine contains the best results. Also, if there is ANY line at all then you are pregnant. I guess all that hard work paid off, now go suprise your other half and ENJOY pregnancy..It's a gift from god!

Just make a drs appt to confirm....they can give you a blood test so you know for sure...but it sounds like you are to me...your hormone level rises everyday...maybe yesterday their wasnt enough and today their was just enough to put a light line.....Good Luck and I hope you are!!!

Wait till your period is late then take another. Sounds like you are but keep your cool. Good luck!
