what is the most northern and southern destinations you have visited and where are you from i am in?

I have been to Christchurch, New Zealand in July. That is where many Antarctic expeditions start. They even have a polar explorers museum.
I also have been to Anchorage, Alaska in December. It is interesting how they deal with the cold. Snow is too difficult to plow, so they learn to drive over it. Cars are kept outside because garages just lock in the cold. They plug their autos to engine heaters.
I am a retired airline employee living in Chicago.
