The Cubs are truly the hottest team in baseball. They have the best record in the Majors since June 5th. They're only 2 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central and 1 game behind the San Diego Padres in the NL Wild Card. The Brew-Crew are scrambling for help, as their ace, Ben Sheets, has a bad finger injury and will be out for a while. They scrambled so much that they had to pick up Scott Linebrink from the Padres for 3 Minor League prospects. So, to answer your question... the Cubs will win their division. They'll end up playing the Padres in the Playoffs with the Mets playing the winner of the Wild Card. The Cubs will be able to beat the Padres, and then face the Mets. The Mets have clearly shown that they can have their down games, but their veteran players will help out. It'll be a very very good NLCS, with the Cubs winning in 6 games. They'll go on to face the AL Champion Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Angels will then lose to the Cubs in another 6 games. Hope that answers your question!

Well, in May they travelled to San Diego - 1729 miles.
That's probably as far as they will go.

I believe they will win their division and go to the playoffs. I believe it would be difficult for them to go deep into the playoffs without another good starting pitcher.
