I have to wear all white to a party next weekend, and I'd rather not have my period then. In addition to that, I feel bloated. Can I take my placebo pills this week, take the rest of my active pills the following week, and continue with a new pack when the pills are gone?

I'm all bloated now, and I just want the bleeding to be over with rater than extend this period until the party date has come and gone.

Eh, no, it is too soon to try to skip your period for the party. Even if you did try to take placebos now you could still get your period.

You are already bloated as you say, so I highly doubt anything you'd do now would stop your period from coming.

You will really mess up yourself if you do that. Instead, don't take the placebo pills at all. Just start a new pack, like you would normally after your last sugar tablet. You will not have a cycle this month. It may make for a heavy period next time, with some clots and cramps, but otherwise won't significantly hurt you. Don't do it more than once a year or so- but once won't hurt you at all. And certainly don't do it two months in a row.

Well yes and no. It depends on your specific type of pills. I was on ortho-tricyclen and tried to move my cycle to fit my honeymoon schedule. It was horrible. Because that kind of BC pills has a variable hormone level, you can't move it around. It caused me to have a worse cycle than normal and messed me all up. I have heard you are supposed to be able to move around your cycle for situations like yours if your pills have a consistent hormone level. The best idea is to call your doctor and see if he/she can't answer this for you so you know for sure. That way you don't end up worse off than if you just left it alone.
