Alright we appeared here on earth. I do think theres a god, but a number of times Ive argued with people over who god is.
God could have been an alien or alien race that sent our DNA to planets they terraformed and we grew? Anyways its an idea :P
Thoughts?

Yes looney bin.
Here we look at the facts of space. How many habital planets do we KNOW of? Actually NONE we think there are earth like planets but we dont know for sire.
The odds are against us.
BUT we know there are earth like planets, and they say its the distance between the planet, and sun. Well the stats say its trillions to one for habitable planets. How do we know there wasnt an advanced race a billion years ago that spread their seed?
If you look back we read a story of adam and eve, but we actually see HISTORY written based off small tribes or civilizations. What if those people were planeted here or a ship crash and they were left with nothing? ;)

Evolution.....ok scientific possibly BUT here how come the chimp in the zoo isnt screaming WHERES MY RIGHTS MAN.
Why dont they evolve today? OH WAIT there was a specific CHIMP we evolved from that no longer exists.........
If thats so explain how these chimps spread around the world. Yes the world was one land mass :P but whats the odds those chimps took physical forms of african, white, and asian? Seems like those chimps were SHAPE shifters. Maybe otto from star trek is our daddy

NO SUCH THINGS AS ALIENS? Im a canadian Im an alien to the states. Alien doesnt bean a bug eyed gredo from star wars.
Alien just means not from a place if you think about it. To say THERE IS NOTHING ELSE your ignorant. We are the only LIVING THING here? Seriously :P There are billions of different forms of life on earth alone. How could you say there isnt ONE more in the entire galaxy?

God theres a good topic ;)
How we DEFINE god seems to be of faith. I believe its right BUT i have to say one thing to this. If you create life you are considered god. A mother is god in the eyes of a child. Ever think GOD could be a race?
How do we DEFINE god? Faith :)
Have faith god could be many things. Imagine one day you say GOD is a spirit and an alien comes down one day and says IM GOD my race created or planeted you. He shows you all the information how they did it. Would you still shun them?

The bible: alright yes there is a book called the bible, but thought im catholic i need to say one thing. A HUMAN had to write it.
Ever think that possibly the words have been so distorted to the facts the bible may have stood for. Remember "I created the heavens, and the earth". That can mean more then you could possibly know.
Ever think that maybe back then people may have been so depressed being dropped here or something they wanted us to LIVE NORMAL and the only way to do that was to remove WHERE we came from? Knowing full well it would take us decades to figure it out as a race dont you think this would have been a choice?
I love the pyramid post WOW. I looked it up and verified your post was real. When you think about it NOBODY back in those days with what they knew couldnt have possibly KNEW those numbers. But someone will say its bogus.

Here is some really interesting reading along the line you have opened up here.
By John Zajac
The Pyramids. According to common perception they were built, with the begrudging help of great armies of slaves, by the ancient pharaohs of Egypt as tombs for preserving their royal bodies. Pyramids were meant to be monuments to the pharaoh's greatness, filled with great treasures for the afterlife. To construct these massive shrines, the pharaoh's copied the oldest and largest pyramid of all, the Great Pyramid of Giza.
But the Great Pyramid itself contains no pharaoh's body, no treasure chamber, and no treasures. Who, then, designed it and built it? What was its purpose? Let us begin our tour by considering a few basic facts about the Great Pyramid.
The Last "Wonder of the World"
Thirty times larger than the Empire State Building, the Pyramid's features are so large they can be seen from the Moon.
Its base covers 13.6 acres (equal to seven midtown Manhattan city blocks), each side being greater than five acres in area.
A highway lane eight feet wide and four inches thick could be built from San Francisco to New York and put inside the Great Pyramid.
The oldest structure in existence, having been started 4,617 years ago, it is the sole remnant of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Only a solid stone mountain could endure the Pyramid's immense weight. And indeed, a flat solid granite mountain happens to be located just beneath the surface of the ground directly under the Pyramid.
It is built to face true North.
The Pyramid is located at the exact center of the Earth's land mass. That is, its East-West axis corresponds to the longest land parallel across the Earth, passing through Africa, Asia, and America. Similarly, the longest land meridian on Earth, through Asia, Africa, Europa, and Antarctica, also passes right through the Pyramid. Since the Earth has enough land area to provide 3 billion possible building sites for the Pyramid, the odds of it's having been built where it is are 1 in 3 billion.
Construction Unequaled by Modern Technology
Like 20th century bridge designs, the Pyramid's cornerstones have balls and sockets built into them. Several football fields long, the Pyramid is subject to expansion and contraction movements from heat and cold, as well as earthquakes, settling, and other such phenomena. After 4,600 years it's structure would have been significantly damaged without such construction.
While the bulk of the Pyramid's core was constructed of 4,000- to 40,000-pound blocks of soft limestone, the outer layer of the Pyramid was made of a beautifully bright, protective layer of polished stone. These outer "casing stones" are missing today because about 600 years ago they were stolen by Arabs, (This accounts for the very worn appearance of the Pyramid today, since the inner limestone blocks are not immune to attack by the elements-wind, rain, and sandstorm.) This protective covering was made up of 100-inch-thick, 20-ton block of hard, white limestone, similar to marble but superior in hardness and in durability against the elements.
The Great Pyramid did not always look as "rough" as it does today. Originally it was encased with a layer of tight-fitting, highly polished 20-ton stone slabs.
The casing stones, 144,000 in all, were so brilliant that they could literally be seen from the mountains of Israel hundreds of miles away. On bright mornings and late afternoons, sunlight reflected by this vast mirrored surface of 5-1/4 acres distinguished the Pyramid as being visible from the moon.
(Note: For those interested in possible symbolic significance, in Bible prophecy 144,000 is the number of people-12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel-who are supposed to evangelize the world at the end time.)
The people of the area had viewed the Pyramid and its polished stones with awe for centuries. But when a 13th century earthquake loosened some of these casing stones, the Arabs recognized a great quarry of precut stones that could be used to finish off palaces and mosques. For instance, the casing stones were used to rebuild the new city of El Kaherah plus Cairo mosques and palaces, including the Mosque of Sultan Hasan.
Amazingly, the outside surface stones are cut within 0.01 (1/100th) inch of perfectly straight and at nearly perfect right angles for all six sides. And they were placed together with an intentional gap between them of 0.02 inch. Modern technology cannot place such 20-ton stones with greater accuracy than those in the Pyramid.
Even more amazing is that the 0.02-inch gap was designed to allow space for glue to seal and hold the stones together. A white cement that connected the casing stones and made them watertight is still intact and stronger than the blocks that it joins.
Let's pause from our tour for a moment's rest and reflection. Whoever built the Pyramid used a technology that we still do not possess today to cut, move, and cement stones. Whoever built it also had some knowledge of the Earth, because it was built in the right spot-one of the few places that would support such a great weight. The builder also knew where the greatest land mass of the Earth was in both the North-South and East-West directions.
Amazing. But we had better keep going. And joining us on the leg of our tour will be none other than Sir Issac Newton...
The Cosmic Yardstick
The Great Pyramid is one of the most comprehensively surveyed buildings in the World. Scientists over the centuries have taken thousands of measurements in their quest to find out more about its mysteries.
Among those intrigued by the incredible accuracy of the Pyramid's construction was the great scientist and mathematician Sir Isaac Newton. Attempting to formulate his famous law of gravity, Newton needed to know the diameter of the Earth. However, in the 1600's no measurement was accurate enough, especially since Newton theorized that the Earth's spin would cause an equatorial bulge. Having heard legends claiming that knowledge of the Earth, the past, and the future were contained in the Pyramid, Newton set out to investigate.
After studying the detailed measurements made by the investigators before him, Newton recognized that many key measurements would be in round numbers if the standard unit of measure was just 0.001 (1/1,000) inch larger than the British inch-which just happens to be the Sacred Jewish Inch. (The Sacred Jewish Inch, 1/25 of a cubit, equals 1.00106 British inches.) This discovery allowed the secrets of the Pyramid to be unlocked and revealed unmistakable and mathematical relationships. For instance:
We know from geometry that there is a universal relationship between the diameter of a circle and its circumference. Consider this: The height of the Pyramid's apex is 5,812.98 inches, and each side is 9,131 inches from corner to corner (in a straight line). If the circumference of the Pyramid is divided by twice its height (the diameter of a circle is twice the radius), the result is 3.14159, which just happens to be pi. Incredibly, this calculation is accurate to six digits. So the Pyramid is a square circle, and thus pi was designed into it 4,600 years ago. Pi is demonstrated many times throughout the Pyramid.
Other numbers are also repeated throughout. Each of the Pyramids four walls, when measured as a straight line, are 9,131 inches, for a total of 36,524 inches. At first glance, this number may not seem significant, but move the decimal point over and you get 365.24. Modern science has shown us that the exact length of the solar year is 365.24 days.
All of the evidence in the Great Pyramid shows that 4,600 years ago somebody knew a great deal about the Earth. But it gets better, much better:
The average height of land above sea level (Miami being low and the Himalayas being high), as can be measured only by modern-day satellites and computers, happens to be 5,449 inches. That is the exact height of the Pyramid.
All four sides of the Pyramid are very slightly and evenly bowed in, or concave. This effect, which cannot be detected by looking at the Pyramid from the ground, was discovered around 1940 by a pilot taking aerial photos to check certain measurements. As measured by today's laser instruments, all of these perfectly cut and intentionally bowed stone blocks duplicate exactly the curvature of the earth. The radius of this bow is equal to the radius of the Earth. This radius of curvature is what Newton had long been seeking.
The Great Pyramid is located on the far right.
Clearly, whoever built the Pyramid had access to information beyond that which earthlings possessed at the time, at least earthlings as we know them. Now, one can argue that we were visited by scientifically advanced beings from outer space who taught us their technology. That is possible from the evidence presented, perhaps even likely. If so, these advanced beings had the paramount goal of leaving behind a message that would endure for eons.
Suppose these beings decided to leave a message. The message would have to be universal yet simple. It would have to survive the centuries and be understandable by all the Earth's inhabitants despite language and cultural differences. The message would have to be understood by many languages that would not come into existence for centuries after the message was written.
So far the message indicates that whoever built the Pyramid knew the Earth well: the length of the year, the radius of curvature, the standard measurement techniques, the average height of the continents, and the center of the land mass. They were able to consruct something that we still cannot construct today, and they were able to tie all these things together in this single structure. Were they extraterrestrial, or perhaps even supernatural? The answer is not yet clear. However, thus far we have examined only the outside of the Pyramid.

Most modern religions (that I know about) state that God is not a physical being. Judaism and Chrisitianity state that his is a spiritual kingdom, and he cannot be minimized to physical images. Islam also says this. I believe Buddhism, etc, all state that God is not a physical being. So that leaves out aliens as God himself. But, you could still scientifically argue that aliens put us here.
Personally, I don't feel that science goes against religion. From a religious point of view, science is simply our way of trying to understand the way this Universe functions.
From your statements in the question, I would have to say that the most valid argument you could make would be that an alien race intentionally started life here in the same manner that we use a petri dish to culture cells. I don't agree with this, but I suppose it is as valid as arguing that an unseen and unseeable God created us. Note that valid does not mean True.
Also, in answer to that argument, I would have to say that even if it WERE true, you still wouldn't have answered the question:
Where did intelligent life come from? If aliens grew us here, then where did the aliens come from? Were they created by God? Or were they a result of non-living matter combinging (chemically and otherwise) to eventually create life that eventually evolved into life that is animate, that eventually evolved into life that is intelligent and self aware?
My thought is that the Big Question still stands, even if your ideas are entertained. In fact, I think the principle of Occam's razor requires that we consider it more likely that we evolved or were created, rather than planted here. It's simpler than the same thing happening elsewhere (evolution with or without creation), and then those beings planting us here. If they had planted us here, they would likely check up on our progress.
So, the simplest two theories for someone who accepts scientific proof of evolution, are:
1) We were created by a supreme being, and evolution is one of the many rules of his Universe.
2) We happened to evolve from inanimate matter under the rules of science and there is no supreme being behind our creation.

There are several authors, such as Zecharia Sitchin, who have championed the "Ancient Astronauts" theory wherein there was a race of "aliens" from a planet that came to Earth for it's resources and tired of doing the work themselves, thus they combined their DNA with that of the early hominid creatures of this planet to clone the early "humans". They base this on the old Sumerian texts. Of course you can imagine how science has held these views. They also go on to give their opinions on happenings in ancient texts and the bible as interactions with aliens of higher technologies, stating that it is the misinterpretation of the humans at this time thinking them gods because they could not grasp the technology. For further information just try typing "ancient astronauts" in wikipedia or Google. If nothing else it does make for interesting reading.
On the other hand, some scientists have stated that they believe that it is possible that the early building blocks of life were deposited on Earth by various meteor impacts early in it's formation.

OK, opinions are never wrong and never right. They are just what somebody thinks and God can be thought of as an opinion. You can never prove God, but then there are so many believers of Religion that you can never prove that there isn't a god either.
There are two answers to your question; if you believe in evolution then you think that humans as we know them today evolved from the ape. On the other hand if you believe in the Biblical stories then you believe that God created everything on the earth and that we are all descendants of Adam and Eve. There is evidence that we have evolved but there is a minuscule of amount of evidence that we didn't actually follow a path of direct evolution.
So as for now it is still a matter of personal beleif. Sorry to disappoint. xx

Although there is no concrete proof of evolution from apes, there is no doubt we share over 99% of our DNA with chimpanzees. Desmond Morris wrote a very good book 25 years ago called "The Naked Ape" that postulated the reason we are mostly hairless and have paddle feet is to fit into the niche of seashore living.
He correctly pointed out most plants and animals consider this area to be an inhospitable desert. That is why beaches are bare sand. He further postulated that people cross this boundary to get food to eat and then retreat to the land side of the beach for protection. He pointed out that in the sea, most things die as a meal for something bigger. On land, most cretures live a full life if they don't starve. Morris said we love the beach because we find food plentiful and most land carnivores and sea carnivores can not hurt us on the protected strip of bare sand.
For proof, he points to humans love of settlement along the shore. It is now the most coveted and expensive land on Earth. Not bad for a strip of desert hardly any other creatures or plants can tolerate.

What a question - always a topic to start a lively debate. I believe in a 'maker' whether he/she is truly God is quite a leap of faith. I struggle to believe that we came from some form of space explosion and therefore think we were created by some advanced life form - either as an experiment on the development of life or to create and monitor life for some greater reason that we are not privileged to understand as yet.

Both theories Evolution and creation (YES THEORIES) have holes and questions that need to be answered before they are science.
Both go back to the start point which can't be answered. Maybe the reality is its not black and white.
Maybe thier was some creation or design which evolved. (gray).

Well, it all kinda depends in what you believe. For example if you were a christian you would believe that God had created Man and the universe.
If you were Muslim, you would believe that Allah had created life.
From your alien idea it sounds as if you've been talking about scientology. Scientology is technically a cult and many people don't even count Scientology as a religion. Hoped at least a bit of this helped!

at the really begining of "life" earth had form from different gases. then cells had basically form every natural thing that you see (plants, trees water, and etc). so cell made monkeys as we now call it then they form in to humans(like go to google click on images and and type in evolution) thats how we were really formed. but the first people turned out to be black. if you wanna know where caucasions came from the come from blacks. but really they are albinos the move to the north because the couldnt stand the sun thats where caucasions come from. that where we all came from. and god is real but he is not a person he is a spirit he is nature, and no silly there are no such things as aliens. so remember god is not a person but a spirit and nature.

Just a quick response to Starry-Eyed's comments regarding DNA. It is true that we share 99% of our DNA with the Chimp. It is also true that we share 97% of our DNA with a palm tree. DNA is mostly the same within all species. This similiarity does not necessarily show an evolutionary pattern.

You from your self said that you think that there is God so meaning you believes in him, and if you believes in him you also believes in his words. Let me starts first with Jesus said Mt. 24:35 "Heaven and Earth will pass away but my words will never pass away." so the question is what and where is the words, and what are the words, the words are encrypted in the BIBLE it self, all we have to do is to read and ask GODS for his guidance to make us understand and gives us the faiths to believe in it. Now ask youself do you have the faith, if yes then you can continue, In book of Genesis it is very clearly stated that Geneses 1:26-27
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
To elaborate more
Genesis 2:15-23
15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman,'
for she was taken out of man."
Above is a self explanatory no need to explain or simplify.
Now think about these :
Charles Darwin said, we are the product of evelution from monkey.
So what do want like a monkey or created by God in his own likeness.
