Hate is based on fear. Many times this fear is unjustified due to lack of experience with the object hated. Once we free ourselves from the fear of that unknown object it becomes a standard for our progress in life or love. This is mainly done through learning and trust. Hey, think of somthing you understand completely and also hate.

I don't know! I think maybe further understanding of the person, song, place extra.
For example; Last year I met a person, and although we hardly knew each other we always found something to argue about. Whether it was music, football etc ..
But something changed this year and we started to talk and learn about each other. She is now one of my best friends!
I think before we experience things we also hear others views, some of which are biased. They can affect us and until we finally experience for ourselves, we will find ourselves with an invalid opinion.
Thank You! :-)
Take Care ..

First impressions are not always the best indicator of the quality of a person, place, or thing. (They are for ideas, however.) It helps to dig deeper into what that person, place, or thing is really made of.

This is especially applicable to the polar opposite: we end up hating some of the people or things we initially liked/loved the first time.

that is not odd at all if you realize that the opposite of love is not hate, it is fear

when we first try out something new, we are always skeptical, it is in our nature to judge the new against a lifetime of the old, and change is bothersome to our sense of well-being

hate is an emotion, it is a reaction, and it is almost always a reaction to something that we WANT to love, but just can't, and we wish that the something would change to make itself more lovable

music is a little different, because our ears are better judges of 'same' and 'different' than any of our other senses, we immediately accept 'same' and reject 'different' until we hear it more than once

this is a self-defense mechanism, your ears are always awake, even when the rest of you is asleep, listening for 'different' while accepting 'same', which is why a tiny little noise can wake us up out of a sound sleep while a loud crashing noise might not

This is very true, but why? Why do we develop acquired tastes in the matters most personal to us? For this is where we should be most judgmental and able to choose – we should be able to cast out of our life what we hate and hold on to things that we love, but often we hate to love things as much as we love hate others. Could this be true then that hate is just the other side of the same coin as love?

In my view, the secret is in associations we make with the things we experience or have to experience, as both love and hate flow from the heart, and human heart is a consistent presence in our lives, the rhythm of our life that rhymes with hate and also with love with equal ease and relish, whereas our views, our impressions and our valued opinions can alter, they can shuffle, change and shift in time along with the flow of event in the life we are immersed in, for these are the shadowed that our world casts upon our mind to impress us. Our personal associations, with things of our world, expose our hapless heart to things of all kind and character that we learn to know as our heart and not the things impersonal - the extreme of dislike is forgetfulness.

i think it is because life is changing even as u said music.. if u have not noticed the music sounds are changing but stragly what u wud have listen to long time ago has happen to be a favourite... this can be because the things are coming to fashion and that we people are growning to be found of these things.
but in life you can be wrong in terms of judgement and you have to accept it that you were possibly in the wrong and stick to what was right.

it also can be about personal values.. as you can just respond to thing in a certain manner because that is what u respect..

but normally in life strange enough, things that you dislike are normally the things you love... because there was a hidden meaning to that particular thing when being acknowledge.

love and hate maybe to constrasting words but they determine the true results to life

always happen to me. =)

from my personal experience and what ive observed from the people around me is that when you hate somebody or something, its because, he/she or it reminds you of your innate weaknesses i.e. inabilities, ignorance, shortcomings, fear, pain, remorse etc etc. usually the type of weaknesses that's beyond your control.

but with time, when we are able to overcome certain weaknesses, we somehow change one or two critical facets inside of us. this is also like seeing the same thing from another angle, or many other possible angles. but it really was the same thing all along.

slowly and somehow, we end up surprising ourselves when it hit us suddenly that we are actually loving the things we used to hate. and when we try to hate it back, we just can't.

guess hatred slipped tru the back door.....hi love, didnt expect you'd be arriving soon....
