15X50 - plus they let in more light in lower light levels (darkness).

But these will be larger in size too.

These should be written "8x30" and "15x50". The first number is the magnification; the second number the aperture (diameter of the objective lenses) in millimetres, NOT the field of view! The field of view normally gets smaller, the higher the magnification.

If these are for astronomy, I wouldn't recommend either of them, as both will have rather dim images. The best all around binoculars for astronomy are 10x50. A good pair for a reasonable price are the Orion Scenix:

Assuming you didn't have a typo, the 8-30 means the magnification is adjustable for 8X to 30X so it can have higher or lower magnification than the other one, which is fixed at 15X.

8-30 refers to magnification of 8x and angle of view of 30 degrees. Thus 15-50 will be having higher magnification and higher field of view. But it may be much bigger in size and heavier. Keep that in mind while choosing.

The second one.(15*50 is better).
