You both belonging to different religion can marry in the court without changing your individual religion. Court marriage as you call it is solemnized under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 all such marriages can take place between any two Indian citizens as well one Indian citizen with a foreigner irrespective of their religion, caste or creed, and you can say this is the secular form of marriage available in our country. Such a marriage is solemnized before the marriage officer/registrar usually D.C. deputy commissioner of the area (Sub registrar/SDM is the marriage officer/registrar only in case the already solemnized marriage under any other Act has to be registered) where both or any of the parties to such a marriage reside permanently or for at least one month. Cost of such a marriage is merely Rs90/- or as the rate prevalent in your area. Now how you proceed? Both the parties to the marriage file a joint application before the marriage officer along with individual affidavit attested by notary public specifying the age(boy 21yrs &girl 18yrs), place of residence, marital status(unmarried or divorcee as the case maybe), mental status(not idiot or not with unfit mind), not related to each other. Along with this you have to give proof of age (School certificate, Passport, Pan card), proof of residence (Passport, ration card, voters ID card, rent agreement), & the application of such a marriage should be witnessed by 3 independent adult persons, affix one photograph of each of the parties & all the 3 witnesses. You have made such an application/notice to the marriage officer in person along with all the 3 witnesses. On receiving such an application the marriage officer issues a month notice regarding the intended marriage & get such a notice affixed on the notice board out side his office, a copy of such notice is sent to the marriage officer under whose jurisdiction the other party lives, also a copy is to the individual parties address. After expiry of the period of notice a date is fixed on which all the persons parties to the marriage & 3 witnesses appear again before the marriage officer who declare them married & issue a certificate to this regard. Incase of any objections raised the marriage officer will settle these objections. Now what can be objections that can be raised? These can ONLY BE REGARDING THE CONDITIONS NECESSARY FOR SUCH MARIAGE & NOTHING ELSE. What are the conditions? As I stated above i.e. Age, martial status, mental status, prohibited relationship (related to each other by blood). This is the brief procedure I have told you here, incase you want any clarification you can ask.

Well buddy all I can say is to continue ur relationship, Ignore what opinions other have about this relationship.

If u really love that girl then marry her, with all the legal formalities. But if ur not in the position to marry her then the task is really critical, first of all be prepared to face the hardships from ur families (I say ur gfs family might create more problems for u and ur relationship).

Try to become independent as soon as possible and then marry her, I hope u understood what I mean.

If both of you are of legal marriageable age, then you have three options, because both the personal laws require the parties to belong to the same religion. But, the third one, under Special Marriages Act, this problem is not there and parties can not only belong to different religions, but continue to retain and profess their own even after the marriage.
However, consultation with a practising expert would be advisable.

You ask what needs to be done just ignore that the surname indicates the caste, reservation based on caste and social standing should be abolished as it has helped none and harmed many. it has divided our people, that upper caste people hate lower caste people and vice versa. Our politicians are the ones who fan all of this see SC people converted to muslim, christian, buddhist and now our politician wants them to have reservations under that category so unless and until, politicians do something about this we will be stuck with it but this is what they wont do because if people are divided each one will get some vote. I share the same fate that agony uncle has gone through so i sympathise with him.

Love has no cast. If you and your girlfriend are totally in love, then let love rule. A cast is just a name. As long as you both respect each others views and beliefs, let each other practise what you wish and treat each othr with equality, then cast issues has no place.
Hang on to this relationship, work at it, keep it alive.

What you call love is a mere physical attraction.

Please do not destroy your and her life by marrying her.

It wil not work.

Think about the following things.........

What religion will your children be?
Will she change to Hindu religion?
What if you have children and things do not work out and you have to go for divorce..........what religion will your children adopt?

It is going to be a mess...big time...wake up and stop the nonsense.

Good Luck.
