If Iran is indeed training and arming militias in Iraq, how should the U.S respond?

If people are upset about our soldiers' deaths in Iraq, would most Americans support a military response?

Is killing our soldiers not an act of war?
For those opposed to our presence in Iraq, do you not think our chances of getting out of Iraq would be better if Iran stopped fueling resistance?

I do not deny the fact that the Massad, Israel's foreign intelligence branch has the capabilities of doing that, but I think they would probably want to infiltrate Iran, Palestine....... killing our soldiers is something Iran is doing, listen to the rhetoric that comes from Tehran.

I think that a three phase approach would get them to stop without invading.

Phase I: Sink all Iranian flagged ships, and anything that comes out of Iranian harbors after that.

If that doesn't get them to behave,

Phase II: Destroy all Iranian aircraft and airports

and if that doesn't work,

Phase III: Destroy every bridge in the country, and crater every road leading in or out.

That should slow them down a bit.

An American response isn't based on just one issue. Why is Iran training and arming terrorists in Iraq? Is Iran meddling in any other nations? Is Iran attempting to gain nuclear war weapons? If so how will they be used? What do Iranian leaders say are their goals?

The Iranian people are not in sync with their radical leaders and the first American response should be to help the Iranian people rise up and overthrow the war mongers.

Failing that, we should destroy their capital and all nuclear sites and all military bases. Period. No nicey-nicey attempt to help rebuild the nation. Just obliterate the war mongers. In and out with maximum damage possible.

I would support it , it turns out indirectly we are it war with them now if they are arming the militias and training them to kill coalition forces. I honestly don't believe the Iranian people are supportive of what their government is doing , I think if it comes down to war you will find a revolution by the citizens to overturn the government there...

how could anyone believe our govt in their accusations after the debacle which has been and remains...iraq. we were told numerous lies to get what our leaders wanted...not what was best for our country. and do you not think we are arming and training people either in or going into their country to do our bidding?..we need serious discussions with the government of iran..not just saber-rattling, accusations and threats

soldiers are there because they choose it.Nobody asked your help.Americans are there to still not to help. everybody knows that but some people are to blind to see it.take care of your own country(give free heath insurance for ex.)you already have too much to take care of in your own country.
