Monica Bedi getting so much media attention and a heros welcome in her village how good is it ?? isnt it somewhere down the line making her a hero whose actions the young ppl of india might try to emulate ?? Why do we everywhere in the world end up glamourising the gangsters .. wether its Al capone in the US or Abu salem and Dawood Ibrahim in India ??

Hi gaurav, Then y not emulate all those underworld seluthes who are in custody right now after all .. each one of them took a wrong turn .. y make a celibraty out of a underworld linked person. I dont think that monika who was a grown up girl did not know who abu salem was before entering into a relationship with him. She did it for getting her way into bollywood. Do you think that an action like that should be emulated

That's what's wrong with today's media! Since they always want to create some kind of news, they'll offer screen time to anybody!!!
I agree with the other guy's point that Monica Bedi isn't a gangster herself, but if it were me, I wouldn't have chosen a person with a negative background like Salem as my boyfriend. Isn't that like befriending the devil? This girl always had a choice!!
Then again, what about her landing a role in director Rajiv Rai's 'Pyaar, Ishk, aur Mohabbat'? Even if the don threatened Rai to offer Bedi a role, she sure had some intention behind this. After all, because of her, Rai was getting life threats!
Secondly, Monica here might be innocent, but she's not someone I'll 'welcome' back.

Does Monica Bedi look like a Terrorist?She is not.She is a victim of circumtances.She took some wrong decisions and created a mesh.To come out of this situation heroacally needs to be emulatted.

There are hundreds of Indians praying for aquittal of Sanjay Dutt also. Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi shoots wild life and gets away with it. Politics,films and cricket rules India.Monica is a very good looking film personality and after all she is aquitted by court.
