Never being able to make new memories would be worse I suppose. Reason being, you didn't clarify good or bad memories, so just as many bad memories would be lost as good ones. I would say that is better than not being able to make new ones.

Never being able to make new ones. No day is over if it leaves a memory.

man thats hard.. I would have to say not being able to make new ones would be harder..
I mean lets say you lost your old ones, but you had loving friends or a girl (or guy) to help make new ones with.. At least you could always do some of the same stuff that you did last time to kinda get a new memory out of it..

That's a hard one, but I would have to say that not being able to make new memories would be worse because if you could not, you would be forced to live in the past forever, and that would really suck!!!!

If I lost a lot of my old memories, then I could start fresh. Somethings are too painful to want to remember.
But the same thing goes for making new memories. I suppose there is a downside to everything.

For me: it's losing your old memories because memories are what makes us people happy. If you look at a photo when you get married, well, you will maybe cry remembering how you first met him, your first date, the first time he kissed you... you know. Never forget old memories!

i don't have much memory,as it is .. but either way would end up the same result, i'd think.
If you didn't have both capabilities, eventually you would lose your Present Sense of Self, i'd think.
no i take that back.. if i had to choose one over the other..
i'll choose to lose all my old memories. as long as i have the capability of retaining all the new stuff, i guess i could figure out who i was again.
Man that would Suck tho. I am just barely getting Me figured out ,now. i'd kinda hate to hafta start all over again, from scratch.
...Unless i was planted in the Carribean first. then it might be kinda fun ; )
