You are correct. With the republicans not holding Bush accountable how can they ever point the finger at a future president that tramples on the constitution and doesn't abide by our laws. Refusal to go under oath is a given now for ANY future president. They will never do it, so the people can't hold ANY president accountable.
Republicans and Democrats both used to want our kids educated so I don't think that part is a problem. Better schools is not a bad thing for america.
We have let this president set very bad groundwork for the future of America. I would be saying this even if we had a democrat in office. I'm not talking party lines. It's just plan bad.

A slippery slope, once it is given it is hard to get back, like the Genie.
Congress has been on a Power grab since WWII. In the constitution specifics rights are given to the congress, the people and the states. The government was separated into three branches, equal but separate.
Congress has taken rights from the states and used our money to coerce them. Congress has for the last 20 years stripping our individual rights word by word. Congress in the last six months have been trying to take Power from the Executive Branch.
Congress has become tyrannical. Facts is facts

No you have it pretty close, with all the power the President has now if a democrat wins next year they get all that power and they will use to the utmost. Republicans don't generally get us into wars they usually are left ending a democratic one. There have been only 3 republican started wars, This one, Desert Storm, and the Civil War, democrats account for all the rest.

We don't need more power to protect ourselves. More executive level power to wage wars sounds like a VP Cheney hallmark. We also don't need more of that kind of power. Do republicans ever stop to think all this power consolidation is going to be handed over to the democrats? I for one would rather all those hundreds of billions had been spent right here in America on Americans than in Iraq.

In the US, the federal government grows like a cancer. No matter whan individual citizens want, the government continues to grow.
Conservatives favor less government and less government spending. With conservatives, there is some hope.
Liberals want government to run everything and liberals want to run the government.
I like your pic. A blond with brains...hhm.

If the far left gets in, we're sunk. We'll be stuck with government control, social programs and taxes up to our foreheads.
