I am not asking for a special right to speak when no one else may. I am just asking for the right to express my Opinion without the Personal attacks. How can the Left say they fight as well for the freedom of speech Yet attack Me personally? Attacking the Libs or Rosie or the right and GW or even a writter seems fair as they are all public figures or titles. But to attack me personally every time I express an opinion is pathetic and sad.

I would vote to give you more rights to speak your mind, you have more than earned it regardless of which side of the political fence you stand on.
The radical leftists in this country have not supported our military since WWII when if they had they would have been stood up to the wall and be given a blindfold and a cigarette. Those were the good old days, my country right or wrong.

You have a more respected voice just by putting your foot down on foreign soil with that uniform on. That's why I have constantly gone back on each major turn in this war and asked my friends who are either military vets from there or contractors who were there to give me their take before I really make up my mind. I figure they know a heck of a lot more than the fringe left, the Cindy Sheehans, and the John Murtha/Kerry brigade of cut and runners. I really do have a problem when some have attacked you because they always say to people like me put the uniform on and go to war if you support the president so much, so how do they attack you when you have been there.

Personally, I really would like to hear your perspective!! I know there's 'filtering' and bias to the news we get back in the States, so it's hard for us to tell truth from the 'spin'. I looked at some of your Q&As (left an answer on a very interesting one) and saw a sample of what you're talking about. All I can say is that on ALL sides, there are some that hurl insults and some that argue with reason.
Answer the insults with insults, you've opted to be part of the problem rather than part of the solution. Blow off the insults with reason and most of the jerks will become quickly bored (short attention span) and go find easier fish to fry. ~~Cheers!

You must understand that we have a freedom of speech in this country...but unfortunately many people believe that freedom of speech also means the freedom to be heard. This is not the case. So, yes, you have the voice, but no one is required to listen.
You have the freedom to be offended or NOT be offended when someone attacks your words. IF you are offended by words, it's because you allowed the words to offend you. In this country we have people of differing views, and if you are going to play in the arena of ideas you must be prepared to take a few for the team. I dont like being attacked either, but such is life.

Don't let it tick you off. Go read the answers to my global warming question and see if you can take them seriously. Most have been the most hate filled I have ever met. As long as THEIR personal freedoms are not infringed upon, everything is okay.
