I'd take a wild guess and say Bush's flavor of the month is bullsh*t, again.
Seriously. We just got done spending four years and, what is it, half a trillion or so, "fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here."
So of course Osama himself is going to crawl out from under your bed any minute and slit your silly throat.
I mean, maybe any NORMAL person might suspect that, hey, if the threat is THAT bad, after all this time and money has been thrown down the drain? MAYBE the whole "fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here," thing is BS on the face of it?
Because APPARENTLY, if we're all in DIRE PERIL here, after all this time, then the GRAND STRATEGY HASN'T ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING.
Far fetched concept I'm sure, but think about it.
I mean, this is not HITLER'S WEHRMACHT we're looking at here, IS IT? It's not a COMMIE ICBM ARSENAL TARGETING EVERY AMERICAN BURG BIG ENOUGH TO HAVE ITS OWN DAM GAS STATION, IS IT???
It's a BUNCH OF FOOLS WITH SECONDHAND AKS AND DYNAMITE VESTS.
I mean DAM. For HALF A TRILLION? Couldn't we just catapult GOLD BARS into PAKISTAN at RANDOM and hope Osama gets BEANED by one....? AT THIS RATE IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER.
Ok caps lock is now OFF. Except that part.

Well now, ya gotta pay attention to what's going on. The West is facing an extremely determined and deadly enemy, and they don't play by the rules. Withdrawl of our troops from Iraq will only insure the deaths of hundreds, maybe thousands, in Europe and the USA. So far, the enemy is confined with limited resources and limited reach. To subscribe to the liberal version of things is to sign the death warrant for our families and possibly our way of life.

Something needs to be done in order to stay in Iraq after General Petraeus gives his report in September. What better way then to feed the fear level? There is no way come September the President is going to say, OK, I agree it's time to get out. As long as President Bush is President, we're staying. The only way we're getting out is if congress grows a set of balls and stops the funding. The real problem with that is it puts the troops in danger. We need an orderly, safe withdrawal of our troops, not another exit like Vietnam.

For 30+ years we suffered attacks by terrorists and little was done about it,clear back to Jimmy "muscle mouth" Carter.
Some little bastard would run in and punch us in the balls and run away, time and time again and get away with it.
Finally we're doing something about it and the "weak sisters" whine and cry and beg us to stop hitting back.
These same "weak sisters" ignored and pooh poohed the sneak attacks for 30+ years and sat on their hands.
Al Quaeda wants us to be afraid, very afraid, jumping at shadows and ready to quit.
Yes,there have been meetings and for once the terrorists are not going to be ignored. We're taking information seriously and doing something about it.

old govrnment ploy, insurgents have recently been redefined as al qa'ida. originally defined as the poor iraqi citizens living under a dictatorship, when the "liberated" started shooting they were redefined as insurgents. now when then war has become so unpopular in america, in order to push up the fear factor, they have now been redefined, again, as al qa'ida.

Suddenly? We have been getting warnings for years. They will attack again since the Democrats do not think terrorism is an important issue any longer. If a Democrat is elected, I will be very scared.

I think we are just getting smarter as to the tactics that the enemy uses. If it takes till 2009, so be it. I think it's important to our future that we finish the job. War sucks and I want our troops home, but nothing less than victory will suffice in this case.
