This is really a very hard question. I know I am in love, I miss my spouse when she is gone, even for the day. On the other hand I don't think she feels the same for me.
There have been affairs on her side that have hurt, oh! so much, heart rendering, but, she has acted like nothing has happened and she just wanted to try the grass on the other side of the fence. On the other hand, I have never strayed, stayed on the straight and narrow although gestures have been made by the oppisite sex. I have always loved my spouse and will until time is at the end.
People feel differently about love and I don't think man will ever conquer it only, maybe accept it. It's a beautiful feeling to know there's someone there for you, to tthink your not alone, to feel wanted.
Accept it, take it for what it is and don't abuse it.

Seriously though:
Love is in the eyes & heart of a mother.
Love is in the joy of our dog.
Much easier to say where love isn't
