What makes you so pro-war? Is it the innocent blood that's spilt? The thousands of lives that are ravaged? The money that you'd rather see spent on violence and brutality than on constructive programs?
Do you think that you're such hot **** that you have the right to avenge your every enemy in the name of all your supposed freedoms?
Every thing of value, every thing you think is worth the price of unnecessary aggression and the total destruction of someone else's country is already lost to you because pride goes before the fall and vengeance is mine, says the Lord. Love your enemies and do good to those who hate you, He said. War is hell and it seems you've already checked in.

I do not support the war, but we have to support our troups, they have no choice where they are sent, and they think they are fighting for our country......just like the Vietnam war, and now more people have been killed in the Iraq war......I lost friends in that war, and there as always been war since the beginning of times, not just in this country, but mainly in the middle east. I would still rather live here than anywhere else, and I will never understand why our troops are still there after so much bloodshed, and there is nothing we can do about this war no matter how much we protest.

I think it is more ironic that the war that founded this country was started over taxes. I am not an Anti-war American, but I want those who are to stop and think, don't blame the soldier in uniform. He/she has to go where they are ordered. Believe me, no one hates a war any more than the soldier being shot at on the front line. But he/she will be there, taking a bullet, or IED, or shrapnel from motar or RPG, standing firm against the hostile force. Whether it is politically correct, or incorrect, they have no choice. And once hostilities are directed against their unit, they have a bunch of buddies to protect, and they must function as a battle group. Survival is the only precedent at that point. So please give the man/woman in uniform a break. Thank you

I think your taking our fight for freedom out of context. I don't think your right.
We fought for our freedom, we were oppressed by a Government that held us at bay and we were forced to give them 3/4Th's of everything we grew, we made and, we found. They took our products and our goods to their country and left us with hardly anything to subsist on. The winters were hard and the children were in peril due to this. They cared nothing for us, only treated us as a product, a consumer goods. They used our goods to fight wars in other countries.
When we tired of this, we fought back. It wasn't a war, it was a slaughter house. Those that really know about the Revolutionary war knows what really happen. That war or slaughter lasted over ten long and grueling years. We only won because it was costing them to much money, they were fighting a war with the French at the time and needed the money for that war, what would have happen had they known the treasures that awaited them in the country, the gold, the jewels and the abundance of crop lands that awaited them, a consumer goods they needed desperately? what would have happen?
The issue here is we're going to other countries and forcing them into a democracy they don't want, for both religious reasons and political. Russia went into a democratic Government and they don't like it. They've lived so long under a rule, they accepted it and now, they're at a loss as to how to live.
Maybe there is some values to democracy, for us but, it's wrong to force it on others and, that's what we're doing.
By the way, I was in 'Nam for two tours of duty with an Airborne Ranger unit, far in the North by oursleves for over eight months, wounded twice, went back each time. I did my duty. All of my five first cousins, one a woman, were there also, one in the special forces. My Grandson, the apple of our eye has been in Iraq for four years, after the Airforce and one year there, he went back as a civilian to help them with electricity, they've never had it before.
I can talk the talk, I did the walk.

Which country was NOT defined by war ?
A GOOD patriot DISCRIMINATES (as opposed to an idiot who cheers everything his leader does/says - didn't they have that in Germany a couple of times?). That means a GOOD patriot can tell the difference between a war against a remote unjust despot and a war fought to distract the public from the fact that the leader didn't know where Osama Bin Laden was after 9/11.

Your question is flawed. Understand that ALL right-minded people are anti-war. In other words, no one is FOR war. People may be FOR freedom, democracy, and a civilized, peaceful nation. If they feel strongly enough about it, and they see no other way, they may be willing to use war to bring about those things. That's how and why America was created and the reason so many millions of people are living in freedom all over the world today. But it does not mean that sane people WANT to go to war.

I love America and support our troops. That being said, your logic is not sound. Do you realize that the country was also created with slavery and genocide (Native Americans)? Are you PROUDLY reaping the rewards of your freedom based on these things? America is a land of freedom and Americans have the right to hate or support war. To deny the right to have an opposing opinion is very Anti-American...think about it.

The war that the country was founded on had a purpose...the people were behind it, and I feel that the government had the people's best interest in mind.
World War II had a purpose and saved lives...the people supported it.
I don't support at war that I don't believe in & that puts my family in danger. I support the troops but I don't support a government that is only in it for themselves.

Well I don't see that as anything to be proud of. The senseless killing is as old as time it self. It never solved any problems it created more. It is time to change this way of life and live as humans should have centuries ago. When nations spend all there time and money for creating things for killing instead of curing the illnesses and other problems not only for humans but for all life on this planet. It is insanity . People don't create wars governments do for power and control of the people, plus add to there wealth at the cost of someones life. Think of it this way how many body bags of those you love will it take for you to see the truth. War destroys everything in it path on land ,sea and in the air.

Are YOU aware that if we HADN'T fought Britain in 1776, we would NOW be a whole lot better off? They have a FAR more benign and less perfidious government, more personal liberties, and less censorship. As a British woman in the audience told Phil Donahue one day, a few years ago, on "Donahue" -- "America is a VERY repressive country."
Fight HITLER? -- yes. Worthwhile opponent. Most of our other wars -- especially the ones of the last 60 years -- have been totally idiotic. And we either rightfully LOST 'em. Or are in the process of LOSING 'em.
