1, he is an amazing player, granderson and rollins were 2 of the 9 players since 1960 to have at least 10 doubles, triples, and home runs at the all star break, just yesterday curtis got his batting average to .303, the first time over .300 this year, he is first in the mlb in extra base hits, thrid among centerfielders in outfield assists, has an mlb leading 16 triples, made possibly the catch of the year, he shouldve been the starting centerfielder in the all star game

Granderson plays a mean centerfield and is leading the league in extra base hits. This coming from the guy who lead the league in strikeouts last year. He is a huge reason the Tigers offense has been so tough this year. It starts right at the top.

Rating : 2

I'd give him a 3. I'm a Twins fan so I know about him. I think not too many people realize how good of a player he is and how many extra base hits he has. I think he is leading the league with 45 extra base hits, 29 doubles,16 triples, 15 HR's plus a .301 average, not too shabby! I would say he is more unknown outside Detroit and the Central division rather than underrated player. I'd take him on my team.

1. He is one of the lowest paid players on the team at 900,000, what the heck? He does so many things. The Tigers need to restructure his contract. If he was playing to his value, he'd bat .150 and be a utility outfielder, so yeah. He is very underrated.

First of all, to all those who dont know any better:

The reason he is "underpaid" is because he is still under his "rookie" contract. Believe me, once he is eligible for a raise he will get one.

On your scale he is a 2 outside of Detroit.
Within Detroit I would put him at 3.

Everyone within the Tiger's organazation knew what GRanderson was capable of, and he is starting to show that.

2...Granderson reminds me a lot of Kenny Lofton in his younger years. Both played the CF position ,and have grest speed that scares the pitchers out.And good all around the field hitters, that makes fielders honest.

2 - He's a much better player than people seem to think he is. I still dont think he's reached his full potential yet though. He defenitely doesnt steal enough bases yet. I think he's fast enough to be capable of stealing 40 bases.

1.
He's exciting and produces and hustles like no one's business, and yet he is not a big name. He should be. I like him more than Sizemore for the Indians who is more well known (and deservedly well known, btw) so Curtis should get a LOT more recognition.

Well, he's underpaid. He plays an overall game. Gets contact, homeruns, steals, avg. i'd give him a 2
