He might as well walk away because his name is mud now with most every NFL fan in this country. He is the new poster child for animal abuse. Coming from a former fan that used to think he could do no wrong (I even made excuses for his finger salute) I hate him now with every fiber of my soul.

For those who cry innocent until proven guilty, well the indictment speaks for itself, the fact that there is no way the unemployed cousin he has blamed for this had the funds to invest in BAD NEWZ Kennels speaks volumes as well. I don't need an OJ jury to tell me what to think

I hope he rots in jail, and even that is wayyyy too good for him

He would be wise to step down now, at least until the allegations are cleared. If he is found guilty, he should never play football again. If he is found innocent, he will still be forever marked by this dogfighting stigma and will find it hard to find a job, endorsements, etc. anyway. In the court of public law, it's innocent until proven guilty, but in the court of public opinion, it's guilty until proven innocent, and even then you may still be guilty (remember O.J.). I think Vick would do his team a big favor by taking a leave of absence. The Falcons are waiting until the investigations are over before suspending or cutting him, but in my opinion they should just move on without him. It's bad enough they let Schaub go and are now stuck with Joey Harrington, but this whole Vick debacle will only be a bigger distraction to them on the field. All I can say is, GO SAINTS!

The things that he did makes me sick, and even everyone that knows him because of being a football star. BUT, that doesnt mean the NFL league should have to punish him. They are just getting involved on crimes to make it even harsher, of course Vick embarrassed his team and the league but thats his problem, it aint ours. The federal government has the upmost control of punishment against him not the league. The league should just let him leave with no contract termination penalties, or just stay in and take all the teasings and embarrassments that he'll go through on the field and off it. I dont see how that we got a DUI last weekend would affect our jobs. But it affects the player in the league, its bad sportsmanlike i know but its a job. The NFL needs to leave it at that and stop making it bigger than it needs to be, if the coach wants to punish him for embarrassing the team then he has the authority to do so because hes the coach after all but the league handing out 3 or 4 game suspensions, thats INSANE, these players want to play, them getting drunk is a problem of their own.

Not if they have a football team in the federal pen for $0 a year. He should walk away from the Falcons and the NFL.

He'd be foolish to walk away from the millions in the NFL. Obliviously he put millions in salary & endorsements in jeopardy when he decided to go into the dog fighting business for a couple grand... What a knunklehead!!

Utimatly his job is more than completing passes - it's entertaining fans ...I'd be happy if he walked away -his image sickens me.

To prevent being suspended, yes.

Unfortunately there is the issue of his signing bonus. If he walks away the Falcons can go after it for the years he did not play. If he is suspended then he keeps it.

He should unless he wants the negative attention he's gonna get.
I don't think he'll be doing any Boys and Girls Club commercials anytime soon.
