Our group would like to go for one day picnic to Palasdari dam (Near Karjat). Can anyone tell me the details about the facilities there?

Palasdari is a railway junction on Karjat-Khopoli route of Mumbai Suburban Railway. it is also on Karjat Lonavala line. On Khopoli route Kelavli is the next station. Palasdari name is derived from "Palas" tree and "Dari" means "Darrah - A route through hills". It is situated on Karjat-Khopoli State Highway No. 35. Palasari has a well known Water Dam. It is frequented by people from Mumbai, Panvel and Navi Mumbai particularly during rainy season. The whole area is surrounded by water falls and greenery during monsoon.

Palasdari Dam is located in Palasdari, Karjat,state of Maharashtra. This dam is famous for tourist attractions. Palasdari fort is popular for trekking place.
