You like this killer scenario.
Not all killers are after me.
Assuming this one is and I am not able to reach my gun, I might go machete, or throwing knife, or baseball bat, or steel flashlight. Whatever is handy, maybe a stungun. It depends on how things work out. I imagine I could protect myself with anything.
Of course, this assumes I can't disuade the killer from coming after me first.
You asked for trivia earlier and one thing I know is that statistically killing is not a crime that is often repeated. If a killer is at your house for you, he/she is there for a reason or they are insane either way you should be able to disuade them without killing them.
If nothing else, get out of the house.
The people you die in slasher movies and horror films are the ones stupid enough to stay when the killer says he is coming to get them. Be the smart person and go somewhere else.

well if i didn't have my gun, i would grab a bat or anything close enough to me so he could not do any harm to my family or myself, if you hit someone in the right spot no matter what it may be you can also hurt them pretty bad or may even kill them.
