Have you ever done what you wanted, experienced the immediate happiness, but later come to regret having made that choice?

What was the cost? Was it worth it?

Regretting does not change the past, however, understanding the cycle of how we find ourselves in the situations where we have then have to find the life lesson seems worthwhile.

Most people that I know tend to struggle for days, weeks or longer trying to find that lesson. Unless you like suffering?

yes, did something like that, and i regret it eversince,
the cost was very high,...i lost it all and each and every day i live to regret it.
So it was not worth it. Not at all.
I have a hard time just to wake up in the morning, to
actually live my life..the pain just never go away ! NEVER.

I think that's life...we always want to be happy.no one ever gets tired of being happy and in so doing, smetimes we make bad decisions and the regret becomes a burden, a burden which reminds us that we made a mistake. The only thing we should keep in mind is to learn from it. It usually costs us a lot but we gain smthg as well, experience! Take it from a positive light.

not that i know of. every happiness i felt and i feel is somehow more endearing than any regret i have ever felt. although, there are some decisions in my early life that i come to regret, it is not because of happiness. i often feel regret for things i have not done or i have done wrong, rather than experiencing joy and happiness and pleasant feelings over things i know i should be happy of. i don't spend my life contemplating if my happiness justify my needs and wants, because i find it tiring to always look for things that will make me happy and yet will make me regret feeling it. the cost is too high for me to ever regret doing something that will jeopardize my happiness and others. happiness felt is more worthy than regret. =)

Yes been there done that, at great cost, all seemed worth it at the time but like death bunny i have moved on.As for destiny, i guess it is early days for you - time is a great healer. A very good friend gave me a wake up call & gave me lots of advice& comforting words when i start to think back i remember some of her words "Don't live in the past it will make you bitter!". I took her advice - Hence my name!
