I Once Saw A Car Doing At Least 50mph In A 30 Limit Crash Into One. It Was Vaguely Amusing To Say The Least, Especially As No-one Was Hurt.

None so far but one made me laugh...the "deaf child", road sign...
When there is a deaf child in a neighborhood, the city will post sign so you know some kid cannot hear your car coming as they cross the street to get their ball or their kitten or whatever...
Yes, at the end of that street, I would like to see a "thank you for not driving over the deaf child" sign.

yes indeedy . well through small villages throughout the u.k
you can often spot a nice cheery sign saying "thankyou for driving carefully through our village" of course it matters not how you drive the sign will be there if you speed by in a blur of metal madness or crawl by as though miss daisy was riding in the back .

Yes! A little smiley face popped up and flashed at us till we nearly hit the kerb.
There's one on another road that tells you to slow down even when you do 20 mph.

Actually yes! We have these flashing signs on the inter state that print out messages. The other day one said... " Road construction ahead. Please reduce your speed and be on the look out for highway department workers. Thank you."
:o)
