why on earth would someone want stars "badly"? Why do young people always say in Q&A they want "help", or they are "desperate" or say they are "suicidal" or they are having a "mental breakdown". And why do young people say they "need" something when in reality they only "want" something? Perhaps the verbiage of our young people needs to be changed to reflect reality. Where are they getting this stuff anyway? Having said that, mostly people just "ask" for stars, not that stars mean anything, or that they are important.

I give a star for a good and thought provoking question, one that people should take notice of, one that's important to life, and one that has an excellent response to it.

I have an ENORMOUS amount of stars and i don't see that they get me anywhere.......though they are a kind of validation & I must admit that is really thoughtful from the people who do it and i am always stunned that I have so many....what are they there for anyway, I never quite figured that one out!!!!!
Thanks!!! I never disguise my questions!!!! Why bother? THAT would not make sense to me.I have noticed however that if someone leaves a fairly evocative beginning to a question, and leaves it up for a LONG time, they seem to garner may stars......I still want to know if I could trade them in for something....well? Any Ideas?????
Thank in advance!

I'd be Grateful If you'd VEry MagnificEntly AnSwer This Awesomely Ridiculous question :o)

Sorry, just realised that without 'bold' type, you can't see it that well. So it's a bit crap. Try this...

So, if you were
To answer this question
About nothing in particular,
Rolling ideas about for no reason,

Paying no heed to guidelines
Laid out by Yahoo
Expecting 10 points
And getting miffed when you don't,
Should you be generous with the twinkles,
Even if you're not really bothered?
