On paper, the best team has to be the New England Patriots. Their weak receiving core from last year was replaced with two of the best receivers in the NFL and in Wes Welker, they also have the best slot receiver. Tom Brady can now get stats like Peyton. On defense, their primary concern was their linebackers, and they went out and signed the best defensive free agent when they got Thomas (a linebacker who played the 3-4 in Baltimore), and they should get Asante Samuel back..... Oh yeah, and this team made it to the conference championships last year without the upgrades. The only thing that worries me is their depth at linebacker, but we all know that they always seem to find a way....
That being said, I think the actual best team will be the San Diego Chargers. They have nearly all the same starters as last year, and Rivers is going to continue to develop. Having Tomlinson, Gates, and a nasty defense probably will help him too. The only area of concern is their receiving core.

The pats deff are the best team in the NFL. They have experience on there side along with veterans who know how to lead and pass on their knowledge to the up and comers. But i have complete respect for the chargers and LT. This year is ganna be a good one!

The Colts have proved that they are best team in football right now. However the Chargers or Patriots have a great chance to take that title this year. I do like Gatorades answer though.

Patriots, just gotta be them, best coaching, QB, line, a gret defense, and an impressive group of backs/recievers. will be the team to beat.
Saints could have the weapons to do it however, they are my #2.
