Catastrophic leadership sums it up I believe. The damage he's done to the credibility of the Office of the Presidency will take years to repair and a great deal of work.
Wow, i guess the 25% that still like Bush in this country are online this morning. "doing a good job" He has made the world a more dangerous place and increased the threat to America. Al-Qaeda is back to the operational strength it was at before 9/11! Iraq has become a recruiting tool for Al-Qaeda, he tried to sell our port security to UAE where two of the hijackers came from and money to finance it went through their banks. How is that doing a good job?
People think attacking a country like Iraq is going to end Al-Qaeda, well, Al-Qaeda wasn't in Iraq before we let them in by destabalizing the country and removing the opposition (Saddam). Thinking that you can bomb a country and destroy terrorism is just plain stupid. Thats like saying "If I bomb the state of South Carolina, I'll kill all the Republicans in the Country". Terrorism is fueled by ideology, terrorism is fought covertly, with police action not military. when has a Terrorist plot in the country been stopped because our military is attacking another country half way around the world? They are stopped by Police investigation, snitches and informants. And Those budgets, the Police budgets that actually combat terrroism are being cut year after year by the President and the slashing of the Homeland Security budget. For the Second consecutive year the Police and fire dept. budgets in NEW YORK have been cut by millions. yeah he's doing a really great job. WAKE UP AMERICA!
MAxx P. You contradict yourself sir. you say he is doing a great job on the war on terror but he is for "open borders" How is that going to keep terrorist from entering the country and killing people? He attacks a random country and creates a climate that breeds Terrorist ideology and then swings our borders wide open, and you call that doing a good job? WOW!

Considering the 9/11 plot was hatched during the Clinton administration and meant to have been conducted under the Gore administration, the idea the current government in any form had anything to do with it is nonsense. There was a long interval between 1993 when the WTC was attacked the first time and 2001. Almost all of that time under the watch of Clinton.
Bush himself at one time had the right ideas and most Americans agreed with those ideas. No one on the planet thought Iraq did not possess WMD as of 2003 since it was well know it has used them in anger and its leader often threatened to use them again. Just as he threatened to go nuclear.
Thus the argument the war was never justified on the ground of Hussein's innocence is also nonsense. Was this campaign conducted as it should have been? Absolutely not. There is no resolve to conclude this mess because of the negative political and media fallout it would entail.
As for domestic policy, the fact that the U.S. economy is still thriving after years of exorbitant energy prices, something I blame this administration for as well as the former one, after the 9/11 attacks, with the cost of the wars on terror, speaks wonders of how much better off we all are than we were in 2000 when we suffered a massive and sharp recession almost instantly when the Clintonian house of cards economy imploded.
On of the reasons Gore did not win decisively was his insistence "It's the economy stupid" in the last quarter of 2000 when hundreds of thousands of Americans had lost their jobs and had seen their retirement vaporize before their eyes.
So Bush isn’t so bad. The world was a lot more dangerous when the Taliban was free to blow up national treasures and when Carter led the nation. Is he doing what he could and should, no, and for that history will remember him in a poor light.
As for FDR being such a great president, keep in mind the blunders leading uo to WWII, the fact he had no regard whatsoever for Hitler's final solution or any other crime against humanity, read Stalin, and allowed Communism to spread pretty much anywhere it chose, including his own administration and by proxy Truman's. He was no Carter, Bush or Nixon, but he was no hero, either.

I am seriously shocked that people still believe that he is a decent president albeit a decent person. Many comments on here are just ridicules! Someone said that Clinton(either) basically equates to socialism.. Oh I'm sorry I forgot that free medical and a free college education are bad things. Must not be a student, or sick for that matter. As for the war, in what way is it just? I mean really.. I feel no need to get into why it is unjust for anyone with any current event knowledge knows. For those who still believe in him and his agenda, please educate yourself and stop being a sheep...

he's too much of a liberal. he's been a big disappointment to me..we need someone who doesn't cave to the left like bush does. but considering his opponents, gore and kerry, the right person was elected..either one of those two losers would have been a bigger disaster.

He is a good man who is doing the best job possible in fighting the war on terror. People in the USA tend to be inpatient when it comes to war which is why I believe his poll ratings are low. The US and its allies have no choice but to win in Iraq and Bush is the best man to lead us.
Another reason his poll numbers are low is his stance on illegal immigration. While he is doing a good job on the war on terror he is asleep at the wheel on immigration. He favors amnesty and open borders which 86% o the people reject.

At every turn, given the information he had been given, he has made the right decision. He promotes buisness. This has a trickle down effect that helps every citizen. When there was a surplus in tax revenue he did not make more "projects" to use it. He instead gave everyone an additional tax return.

our economy is great but other things not so good. Too many illegal aliens, too many Muslims, things like that. I voted for him the last time only because the alternative was a socialist.

I mean just look at him, he looks like a retarded Muppet LOL, need I say more? Well-intentioned, but naive.
He was right to initiate the war on terror, but quickly became "wussified" and started trying to appease terrorists instead of simply killing them.
Also, he isn't doing one thing to stop illegal aliens from Mexico.
However, he did turn the sluggish economy around, and I'd rather have him than Clinton (either Bill or Hillary).
