Reply is Ca3X2. Na reacts with X and varieties Na3X. That means that Na has valancy 1 and X has valancy three, so three atoms of Na reacts with 1 atom of X to entire its valancy. Accordingly they type the ionic compound Na3X. In a similar way, we know that Ca has valancy 2. So the ionic compound with X will have to be Ca3X2, which shows that X has valancy three.
