Was looking at the games and when they have a good chance to dunk , they opt do a lay up. Why??

Well the same reason you cant dunk kid. Women do not have the same jumping ability that most men do and thats not a problem. Hell there are some men like Steve Nash that I highly doubt he has dunked in a game in the NBA but he can still be an MVP twice. Dunking is the same thing as a lay up, two points. It hurts your hands also, I cant dunk but I can touch the rim at 5'8, my cousin can dunk and one day he got a bunch of cuts on his fingers.

There are WNBA players who could dunk, but I do not think it is necessary to dunk in a game. After all, it might be spectacular, but it could only get you two points. Those girls who can dunk such as Candace Parker are only showing off. Women's basketball unlike the men is supposed to be about team basketball. There are some players in men's basketball that are about teamwork, but when it comes to money that is placed last in some minds. Women do get paid as much as men in the sport of basketball. Therefore, it is useless to dunk in a game. Also dunking is very risky. Some dunks can be dangerous and there is not any guarantee that you could even get the two points. It is better to take one for the team and be safe by taking a layup.
There are also more players besides Lisa Leslie and Candice Parker who can dunk, but they choose not to in a game because they do not want to be showoffs. They rather take the two points the easiest way possible because the game is not about them.

first of all the stupid men who say that the wnba is stupid are idiots they are a fairly new league and they would rather pass the ball instead of taking a way out stupid 3 point shot and miss wen there is 4 other players open and lisa l. chamique holdsclaw candice parker and tammy sutton brown can dunk but you men are very arrogant and why take the chance too get rejected wen you could jus do a lay up

because they cant jump and even if they can, a game is different than being out on the play ground... i remember once in a league i was playing in while i was in high school a dude tried to dunk and almost did but missed it and the coach benched him for the rest of the game....
most women, if they can dunk, dont in games because if they miss it, thats two points they give up when they can jus lay it up.

The wnba is like watching a bunch of 6th grade boys play. The only difference is that the wnba players can probably shoot and dribble a little better.

Because that league is made up of women and women can't jump. Boring league, it should be folded. Most people will not pay to watch women play sports unless they are nearly naked.
