Not sure, if you want to make sure there is a new product made by vagisil, it will tell you if you have one or if its something else.Its really easy to use its just a plastic swap with a litmus paper, you match the paper to the chart and it will tell you if your ph level indicates a yeast infection.It costs about 12$.

No, the only thing you will notice is that the symptoms you have that you thought was from a yeast infection are still there.
I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

doctor will take a sample of infection to no if you have infection first so don't worry
