I love the Harry Potter series. I have seen all the Harry Potter movies, and read 6/7 of the books, and I thought it might be cool to be able to act in one of the next upcoming movies. I do have previous acting experience (if you count five years working in a haunted house in Denver, and doing a small short film directed by my friend lol), and if anyone could tell me how that would be great. It doesn't matter if I was not a major role, or even an extra. I think it would just be a fun experience being on set and in that atmosphere. If anyone could tell me how I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeah...think how many of us would try for a part if it was at all easy! Though the Potter films do tend to have a lot of extras, I'm sure they're pulled from a very exclusive pool. Have you got your name on ANY lists to volunteer for extras roles? Generally it is people who live in the area where the filming is happening. I think the character roles are all cast well in advance, and from people who have good agents and experience.

uhmm consider getting an agent that will file you into various movie sets once you get a hang of the job you will start getting filed into better and better movies but for this you must acheive a lot of training as castings are very very precise ...

It is best to keep an eye on the newsround website. www.bbc.com/cbbc/newsround. All open auditions for Harry Potter are listed on there.
