Need help with my PSP akaPlaystation Portible!!!?

Question

I just brought a PSP. I want to go on the internet to download music to my PSP. But every time I try to get on the internet It says this " A connection error has occurred. The access point was not detected." Did I do anything wrong? My WLAN is on so whats the problem? I Know you don't have to connect your PSP to a computer, if so then whats the use of carring it and geting on the internet, meaning whats the use of a PSP then. But please guys can you help me out?

You have to have access to a Wifi router. If you don't have one at home then you can try a School/College/University, a Store or Restaurant (Startbucks/McDonalds) or a Library.
