Well, it can't hurt. But you do have to have actual talent.

If you have talent that will help. If you have no talent nothing will help unless you have a very close relative who hires actors.
Connections never hurt. Network as best you can, but in themselves the connections to a record company won't get you work as an actor.

If you want to be a REAL actor, you will do it on your own and not rely on the coattails of a distant relative's fame to make or keep you in the business.
If all you want is fame, you are probably in for a real disappointment; case in point, Frank (brother) and Jackie Stallone (mother) trying to ride Sylvester's coattails to fame or no talent LaToya Jackson (sister of both Janet and Michael Jackson). Even if you ever meet any level of fame, it will be a very hollow victory as you will not be taken seriously as an actor, or even a person (all of the above have been the butt of many a public joke).
More recent case and point...does any one take Haylie Duff serious as an actress; no, they all know the only reason she is on T.V. is because of her sister, Hillary.

it depends how big they become, if they become huge it could work for you, but it could also work against u, cuz u would be constantly compared to them (ie - julia roberts and emma roberts, haylie and hilary duff), however, i think it would help u get started
