Joint families is obviously is a great and safe way of living. It was success till the last generation when there was not much difference in anything like education,financial position etc., within a family, even if so they all shared it equally and understandingly. But now due to exposure to the world all of us are changing our way of life to compete with the other people so we are becoming more selfish. When selfish arise, then matter of living in a joint family will obviously becomes a failure.

If there is proper understanding and selflessness one should never MISS A JOINT FAMILY AND THAT WILL BE THE BEST GIFT ONE CAN GIVE IT TO THE CHILDREN.

My daughter and her fiance are in a blended family.They both have two boys each. It has been a difficult 10 years for them with the children. He doesn't treat her children the same way he doe his own. His kids are only there every other week-end and during vacations. Maybe that's why. But it is a source of conflict with her oldest who is now 15. He is beginning to talk back which causes household conflict now. There is no easy answer to this very common problem. You will never love someone elses child like you love your own and vise versa.

Joint families are sometimes very reassuring, u have something to fall back on, during bad times, but there are disadvantages too. There could be common cooking, washing and cleaning, and there is someone always to look after the kids. But there could be a problem of privacy and sharing.

You can consider the house as world where people of different nature can be considered as different countries.There may be many members of the family who will accept ur views,where the others may be against u or some may be neutral.

ever hear or see the bradybunch on tv? the more the merrier. there is nothing wrong with joint families. a family is a family, period. there is no two ways to put it. honey in this world we live in today, it is hard trying to make ends meet. prices are so high. housing accomodation's,college fund's and food. you name it, its an honor to be able to afford it. its an arm and a leg trying to raise one child in our society. joint families mean possibly, joint incomes. it means being able to afford the things that a single family someitmes cannot afford. it means more hands to help get more things done around the house. and more importantly, it means more love to go around. and the more you give it, the more it comes back to you a thousand fold. joint families, they ae the best. you just have to remember, life is only what you make of it.

though i belong to nuclear family but i think living in a joint family perhaps a better option. u can have the benefits of disected work which u have to handle alone if u r living in a nuclear family. the additional care, love, warmth, proper value system, proper individuality, more maturity, more emotional support can be other advantages nevertheless, the exceptions r always here . conflicts, fighting over trivial matters can be disadvantages. but in my opinion they joint family is a blessing and adversity too.

Joint families means actually it is one big family, families of sons and daughter under one roof. It is possible only when house is big to accommodate all the members of family. Now a day due to space, career some of get separated.
In joint families if minds of all staying in that family must be "joined" for healthy and cheerful atmosphere. otherwise separate family is better.

joint family is successful only when there is no one in the family to run after money,property and jealous of anyone.material possession always make joint family to scattered like broken pieces of glass which you can't join or fix again.I have the one.
