Which way is cheaper? I really wanted to do the dining plan. It sounds like a really good deal....and I am REALLY into good deals. The only problem is if you do the Land and Sea cruise package you can't add the dining plan. Is it cheaper to do the Land and Sea package and just pay for my own dining. ( I would like to go to a few character meals) Or do the cruise alone and 4 night stay separately.

The cruise/land is $1299 more than the cruise only and comes with a 4 day hopper pass. Also you get to stay at Port Orleans or Caribbean Beach. I tried to figure out the rates online at www.waltdisneyworld.com but it keeps giving me an errror (maybe because it's Jan 2008??) How much money are you really saving on the dining plan?

Really, it doesn't save money to do the land and sea through Disneyland. It just makes it a little more convenient since you don't have to do seperate packages and such.

The dining plan is great, and that is the reason why I wouldn't do a land and sea. I really think they should have the dining plan on it to make it an all inclusive package. It is also nice because you can choose where you want to stay and everything. If you want to stay at a deluxe resort, but you only want a 9 or 10 on the cruise, you cannot choose the deluxe resort unless you upgrade your stateroom. On the other hand, if you really don't feel that you need to upgrade to a moderate or deluxe, you can't stay at a value resort.

As I mentioned the land and sea package is really more convenient then it is money saving. In the end, the land and sea will probably end up being higher because of specials that Disney comes out with, once you lower the price of your land portion, the land and sea will be a little bit higher.

The 2008 packages are not out yet, they should be coming out soon, probably in August sometime. When the rates come out you should be able to price it online, the only way you can price 2008 right now is to start your stay on December 31, I think you can price a 14 night stay, but that probably doesn't help. One thing is that I have heard a lot that the dining plan is going to change quite a bit for next year. I've heard that the price is going to go up (I don't know how much, it was only $1 more for adults and the kids didn't go up at all this last time, but I've heard next year is supposed to go up quite a bit) I've also heard that they will no longer include th 18% tip in the dining plan and that would need to be paid seperate. Finally, I heard they are going to be a little more strict with the snack points and you can only get an ice cream, soda, or pop corn or something like that. I don't know if it is true, how much is true or anything, this is just what I've been hearing.

Hope this helps!

See an agent for a deal, but I chose the land/sea and wished I had gone 7 by sea or at least the lesser part of the trip be on land.

The ship is AWESOME, for the children, adults have pretty decent entertainment but you are gong w/ you kids. They have a great child day camp if you do want to do evening activities.

The Private island left me speechless. I wish we spent 100 days on the island alone.

I liked the parks but after the 2nd day we were beat!! I suggest doing 3 day park because the 3rd day is spent getting to and on the ship. Then having 4 days to relax, really relax. From food to fun they were great!!

PS- don't by Park Hoppers, buy the tix the allow you to chose the park you want to visit the day you go. We never saw even 1 whole park in 1 day. But Port Orleans is really fun, food is $$$$$$$. Buy food off site when possible
