if the yankees suck, why are so many in the hall of fame players from there. , also why are the managers who are improving their teams (Mets, Cubs.) all coming from the yankee organization. ie willie randolph and Lou Pinella.

The Yankees do not suck. It is the red sox that suck. The Yankees are the best team there has ever and will be. More HOF come from that team than anyone. The Yankees Rule! Go Yankees!!!

The Yankees are a team with much in the way of wealth and resources. This makes them that someone either loves or hates (much like other sports franchises, such the 49ers, Cowboys, Lakers, etc.)
They've had the resources necessary to buy big name players, and fans of smaller market teams resent them and their fans. Some believe that such wallet-flaunting tactics are part of the reason that there is a distinct line betweens teams that are "in it" and those who "aren't."
As for why people believe that the Yankees suck... well, it's a case of pattern recognition. The Yankees have spent over 2 billion dollars over the last 6 years, and have not made it to the world series once. For a team that has a $250 million dollar roster, that sucks.

Two part question, let's break it down. Yankees of the 20th Century. Without a doubt the dominant team of the 20th century. Was it "the best team money can buy"? Was it the subject of a Broadway show "Damn Yankees" about a frustrated Washington fan who just wanted to see his team win the World Series once and was willing to sell his soul to Satan to get that? Or are we talking about now? At $250 million per year in salary you would think that George would care, but with the YES network and 3+ million in attendance each year, it does not matter how far they go. Yankees Suck is just the derisive chant that Red Sox fans started. Red Sox fans could not care less about the fans for other teams. If an Oriole fan shows up at Fenway to cheer for his team, no one cares and no one will be rude. But let a Yankee fan show up, whether for a Yankee game or at that same Oriole game, and hundreds of people will yell "Yankees Suck" and a lot more. Take it as a sign of respect. They are not selling t-shirts describing the supposed love affair between Nick Markakis and Miguel Tejada or any other two Orioles in Kenmore Square before and after the game. They are selling t-shirts insulting A Rod and Jeter.

It's funny. People are making fun of the Yankees for beating up on Kansas City. KC just took 2 out of 3 from the Red Sox. KC won 2 out of 3 against the Tigers. KC took 2 out of 3 from Seattle. KC swept the Angels in June.
There are more and more Yankee fans at Mets games, because it's easier to buy Mets tickets.

there are only two reasons for hating the yankees
1. you're a red sox fan.
2. they have 26 championships.
so hating the yankees is normal, it is the same thing with the nfl, the good coaches have come from the 49er branch. ie mike holmgren, andy reid
