Although I thought Tranformers and its special effects were amazing, I thought it was tied with 1408 for the best movie this summer. I thought it was brilliant that a scary movie was made that wasn't just a rated R gory movie that just slaughtered people mercilessly to scare the crowd. Those types of movies are pointless and have no meaning. I also give props to Live Free or Die Hard I thought that movie was really cool.

The SAW III It was the one movie i can say with out a doubt gave me that HOLY CRAP what if feeling. like what if I were to wake up and find myself in a "game" That movie is the work of one very creative write'r(s) there are many movies i find to be so dam good. The Saw III, it was funtasticly twisted and the puzzle was put together so amazingly well.
I cant think of another movie that gave me the willies and thats not easy to do, tell the Saw I II and III were wrote.

So far - my pick is POTC 3.
I like Transformers too, but Pirates just clipped it by the brilliant acting talent of Depp, Rush and Bloom (if Chow Yun Fat had a bit more screen time it would have been even more awesome!)

Spectical-wise (if that's even a proper term,) I'd say it was a toss-up between Transformers and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
