What kind of problems are you having? Usually, images for DVDs are not in ISO format, but in a .BIN file. If it is an ISO image, it should usually be burned to a CD.

As for something being missing: if this is a game or program you are "sharing", they often release an "nfo" with the MD5 checksum. I don't use Nero, so I don't know if it automatically checks the checksum. If not, get a checksum checker, and compare the one of your ISO image to the one that whoever is providing you the ISO has.

One final note: some older CD / DVD burners could only burn to one format, either DVD+R(W), or DVD-R(W). Upgraded firmware is needed to burn to the other type.

Hard to say without actually knowing what your problems are. Nero 7 should do this just fine. are you sure of a few things:- You actually have a DVD burner ?, Your burner supports +R DVD's.
XP burner is a free tool to download and works well also there is a whole heap of other software but you should be able to do it with nero.
