I appreciate it to the extent taht I got to see it in my lifetime. It's a nice novelty... however, I will never give him the respect that he feels he deserves because of the steroids scandal.
Yes, I know he never tested positive for steroids, but it won't change my perception of him.
And no, I won't recognize him as the strongest hitter of all-time. That'll go to A-Rod when he passes Barroids.
If he does get into the Hall of Fame, I would like to see some * next to his name.

I'll definitely appreciate the feat and record breaking HR. He is not the strongest hitter of all time, because there's actually nothing that would easily measure hitter's strengths. If you are asking for our opinion based on observing them, I'd have to say Cecil Fielder was the strongest hitter around.

When it happens, Barry will be the greatest home-run hitter of all time. He'll be the only one to possess the single season and career home-run marks since Babe Ruth. Barry has also been a great hitter, with record setting slugging and on-base percentages. Is he the greatest hitter of all time? It can be argued, but Ted Williams, Ty Cobb, and Tony Gwynn will also be in that debate.

i will definitely aprreciate it. despite the whole steroid cloud that will hang above him and the record after he breaks it, barry bonds has been one of the most dominate hitters in baseball history. as far as being the strongest hitter of all-time im not sure. top three at least. i'd say he is defintiely the most feared. just ask the teams that intentionally walk him three times a game.

I will accept him as the new home run king but I won't appreciate it. And I don't think Barry Bonds is the strongest hitter of all-time, but he's pretty close to it. I think Ted Williams is the strongest hitter of all-time. Who else do you actually think will have a batting average of .406, I mean c'mon!

first off bonds is definately going to break the record because all he needs is 3 more and thats nothing for him. Of course i will appriciate this becuase not matter what you think about his alleged steriod use they are not the only thing that makes someone hit a homerun you still have to have great hand eye coordination and bat speed and to hit as many as he has and will is just amazing.

Will I appreciate it ? No
Will I watch It ? No
Will I appreciate the fact that the Commissioner of Baseball was powerless to prevent this little travesty from occurring ? No
My mistake , I forgot that Selig created a baseball word where this kind of travesty against the heart of baseball became a fait accompli
Is BB the stronget hitter of all time ? No, I would give that honor to either Frank Howard or Harmon Killebrew who were two very strong guys.

When Bonds passes Aaron I will consider Barry the Modern HR King the steroid cloud does not affect my judgment of him because MLB is as much to blame as any user of steroids. Hank is the all time HR King & one of the classiest members of the history of baseball ... All of this will be moot in 2018, when A-Rod passes everyone including Sataharo Oh..

Barry is, at best, the 3rd best REGULAR season hitter.
How good are the top 3 HR hitters when it Really Matters. BB has NO championship ring(s). Aaron has one. Ruth has seven. Here are their post-season Batting average, On-Base % and Slugging %.
player - BA - OBP - SLG
Aaron - .362 - .405 - .710
Ruth -- .326 - .467 - .744
Bonds - .245 - .433 - .503
Barry's BA and SLG are pathetic. It is so easy to pitch around Barry, No other star players want to play with him... (Gee, I wonder why.) Maybe they just don't like him or maybe they know he folds under pressure. Maybe they want a ring.

I will recognize him as the new home run king. Ted Williams will always be the best hitter until someone else hits .406 for a season.
